Containment Class:
euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 meter cell with reinforced concrete walls, one large window for observation, and a 0.5-meter thick steel door. SCP-XXXX itself should be held on a table for testing purposes. Every 24 hours the containment chambers cooling mechanisms should be checked for any possible errors as to not let SCP-XXXX reach a gas, nor solid state.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small Tayoudon style ramen bowl that contains approximately 2 cups of ramen. The bowl SCP-XXXX is contained in has a counted thirteen scratches on it. SCP-XXXX's bowl shows no chemical irregularities and appears to be an ordinary bowl of ramen. However, when all lines of sight focusing onto SCP-XXXX are simutaneously broken from it, (including any security or CCTV camera viewing), SCP-XXXX appears to vanish without a trace, only leaving the bowl behind. When all lines of sight focusing onto SCP-XXXX are broken after the ramen disappears, the ramen appears contained in the bowl again, like nothing ever occurred. When a portion of SCP-XXXX is removed from the bowl, and all lines of sight focusing onto SCP-XXXX are broken twice afterwards, SCP-XXXX will refill itself back to the original amount of 2 cups of ramen. In fact, this applies to any amount of ramen that is removed from the bowl. This process is used to duplicate the "ramen" for individual testing.
When SCP-XXXX is consumed, anomalous effects begin to manifest. Between one to two hours after consumption of SCP-XXXX, subjects will begin to have mild hallucinations, of which the most common is a black silhouette of a short figure with an abnormally long beard. However, this can vary as cases of a black silhouette with large claws have also been reported. This is accompanied the loss of the ability to communicate and slowly seem to forget all of their known languages, including sign language. Approximately three hours after consumption, subjects will have completely lost the ability to communicate, read and write in all of their known languages, accompanied with signs of extreme emotional distress. Six hours after consumption the subjects will begin clawing at their own body to the point of serious injury, or death. Subjects have been documented to claw out their own eyes, bite at their fingers until mutilated, and [REDACTED]. Eight hours after consumption the subject will regain the ability to speak their native language, but will remain unresponsive and will appear to be in a state of trance for up to six hours.
During the hallucinogenic stages of SCP-XXXX, an entity only visible in infrared wavelengths which matches the description of multiple accounts of of a short entity with what appears to be a long beard within the hallucinations can be seen watching subjects under the effects of SCP-XXXX designated as SCP-XXXX-1. However, when any person other than the affected individual go within 3 meters of SCP-XXXX-1, the entity appears to completely disappear. Due to this, SCP-XXXX-1 can only be examined through the use of infrared cameras. It is unknown if SCP-XXXX-1 is an actual being or a memetic effect of observing individuals under the effects of SCP-XXXX, and it is unknown if SCP-XXXX-1 effects the hallucinations of the subject, or is just there to observe the subject. Approximately two hours after consumption of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 will fade away under the vision of infrared cameras, until it is completely invisible to infrared cameras.
Temperature experiments have also been taken out on SCP-XXXX, to measure it's freezing and boiling points. Although the substance of the broth is very similar to that of regular ramen broth, it has a freezing point of 4 degrees Celsius, and a boiling point of 30 Celsius. If SCP-XXXX is consumed in gas form, no effects occur. However, if SCP-XXXX is consumed in solid form, the subject will fall into a catatonic state for a period of twelve to eighteen hours. When the subject has woken up from this state they appear to have increased overall well-being and report feeling full of energy and in a good mood. Four hours after waking up from their catatonic state, subjects will burst into extreme rage and [REDACTED]. All corpses of individuals who ingested SCP-XXXX in a solid state should be incinerated. SCP-XXXX was seized by the Foundation after reports in ██████, Japan about mysterious bowl of ramen that was the cause of ██ homicides around the area, Class A amnesiacs were given to all witnesses.
The composition of SCP-XXXX is currently undergoing analysis, but so far, it is indistiguishable from the composition of regular ramen broth. It should also be noted that according to numerous interviews, SCP-XXXX even tastes identical to regular ramen broth.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: When not in use, SCP-XXXX is held in a standard locked container at Site-19, numbered A281-XXXX. When in testing use, using a ████████-model freezer located in test lab A-352 is advisable for freezing purposes. When creating solutions taking precautions for the possible production of dangerous compounds, both liquid and gaseous, is instructed. Failures to meet these testing safety measures will be sanctioned appropriately. When producing cubes for testing purposes, production of more than the necessary amount of cubes is prohibited for safety purposes. When testing is finished, SCP-XXXX is to be thoroughly washed, dried and returned to its container.
Under no circumstances are cubes produced through the use of SCP-XXXX to be let in contact with large reserves of water or other such liquids.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a light gray coloured plastic ice cube tray of unremarkable construction capable of holding up to twelve ice cubes at a time. Tests show no abnormalities in the construction composition or structure of SCP-XXXX.
The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX manifest when the tray is filled with water and put to a freezer, or other environment with sub-zero temperatures, and kept there for a time that is normally required for the given amount of water to freeze. They tray can be filled with any kind of water, including tap water, distilled water and water with various ingredients dissolved into it. However, liquids that do not count as water, such as milk, juice or alcoholic beverages, do not trigger the anomalous effect. Research is ongoing on how the tray "defines" water.
When the water placed in SCP-XXXX has frozen and formed ice cubes, the anomalous effects become apparent. Instead of normal ice cubes, each of the slots of SCP-XXXX is filled with ice cubes of various colours. When analyzed in a dry environment, the cubes don't show any special properties outside certain unremarkable chemical traces and will melt down back to water if let to melt. However, when a cube is placed in a liquid, it will dissolve nearly instantaneously and change the liquid through an unknown chemical process into another, different liquid (see Test Log XXXX for several examples of witnessed liquid transmutations).

Effect on subject:
Supervisor: Dr. ███████████
Cube origin: Tap water
Color of used cube: Hot pink
Solvent: 100 cubic meters of lake water
Observed change: Water starts changing into unidentified pink liquid that produces gas bubbles. At first, the conversion process is rapid. After approximately 2 cubic meters of water is converted, the process starts to noticeably slow down. After this, the process keeps progressing with increasingly low speed. Test is interrupted after 1 hour has passed and process has slowed down to near halt.
Note: Testing the maximum conversion capacity of the produced cubes. Apparently the process works at fast speed for a maximum of 2 cubic meters of solvent, and nearly halts after that point. However, whether it will truely halt over time or keep on going with an increasingly low speed is still unclear - the chemist team is working on the theoretical calculations, but they have no concrete results as of now. -Dr. ███████████
Supervisor: Dr. ███████
Cube origin: Distilled water for all tests
Note: Testing the effect of using multiple cubes in the same solvent. -Dr. ███████
Color of used cube: 1 milky white cube and 1 dirty orange cube, second cube dropped into the solvent after first conversion process has finished
Solvent: Gasoline
Observed change: Conversion process starts as expected when first cube is dropped in. Gasoline changes into opaque white substance that is revealed to be molten vanilla ice cream. Second cube is dropped in, prompting further change. Ice cream changes into metallic substance that is recognized as mercury.
Note: Results as expected. -Dr. ███████
Color of used cube: 1 dark green cube and 1 cadmium yellow cube, dropped into solvent at the same time
Solvent: Hydrochloric acid
Observed change: Very quickly after the cubes are dropped in, a rapid and violent reaction occurs, causing the product explosively splashing around the immediate surroundings. Damage to lab equipment is minimal.
Note: I think we should not do too many tests with multiple cubes before we have better understanding on the mechanisms of the conversion process. -Dr. ███████
Supervisor: Dr. ███████████
Subject: D-35261
Cube origin: Tap water for all tests
Solvent: A glass (approx. 2 dl) of tap water for all tests
Color of used cube: Crimson
Observed change: Water quickly changes color to deep red and becomes opaque. Increased viscosity noticed. Analysis shows the product to be human blood.
Effect on subject: Subject, after taking a slight sip, reports the taste of blood. Result consistent with earlier analysis.
Color of used cube: Ultramarine
Observed change: Water quickly turns into unidentified liquid, transparent with heavy blue hue. Slightly increased viscosity noticed. Personnel participating test report that the liquid smells "good", "interesting" and "weird". Many report suddenly increased thirstyness after smelling the liquid. Chemical analysis after test shows heavy concentrations of several unidentified compounds.
Effect on subject: After taking a sip, subject reports that the liquid tastes "bitter but refreshing". Later reports complete disappearance of the feel of thirst. The lack of thirst continues for the next eight hours. Attempts to replicate the liquid have failed.
Color of used cube: Black
Observed change: Water quickly turns into glowing hot liquid that melts down the glass and causes damage to the surrounding lab equipment. When liquid cools down to a solid state, it is shown to be basaltic rock; produced liquid presumed to have been magma.
Effect on subject: Human test omitted.
Color of used cube: Neon green
Observed change: Water quickly turns into liquid that starts rapidly boiling and evaporating. Produced gas spreads to the surroundings, and the test location is airlocked.
Effect on subject: Subject is instructed to enter the airlocked area and breathe in the gas. Subject reports a burning feeling in his throat, irritation in the eyes and starts coughing. Subject removed from test area. Later analysis shows the product to have been chlorine.
Supervisor: Agent █████████
Subject: D-13584
Cube origin: Distilled water
Color of used cube: Cyan
Solvent: ████████-brand cola drink in a 33 cl glass
Observed change: Drink turns into an opaque white liquid that exhibits bright white luminescence that dims slowly as time passes. After no apparent dangerous chemical reaction is observed, luminescence is deemed harmless.
Effect on subject: After taking a sip, subject proceeds to drink the whole glass against given orders to leave liquid for analysis. Subject quickly becomes hyperactive after drinking the product and starts showing signs of enhanced physical condition, including higher strength, reaction speed and mental capacity. Subject proceeds to assault the guards and escape the area. Subject later found dead, having expired apparently due to side effects of the consumed product. The remains of the product react with the surrounding air, turning brown in color in a few minutes. Analysis of the remains proved inconclusive.
