OK so this isn't actually going on the wiki for a while, and this is just a pratice in the SCP writing style.)

SCP 12253 (placeholder name) is contained on a small island located somewhere in the middle of the equator. SCP causes the island to have unnaturally warm weather, despite the fact temperatures should drop in the colder months. It has no desire to leave the island, and is thus Self Containing.

SCP 12253 is a humanoid girl, appearing around the age of fourteen. It wears a torn red shirt, with dark brown shorts and bare feet. SCP 12253 has long brown hair, with bangs covering it's eyes. Dr Amy Baker has reported that SCP 12253 does in fact have eyes, and that they are unnaturally green.

There are other multiple, humanoid figures that roam the islands. Researchers have observed the figures as human in appreance, often wearing makeshift clothing out of cloth and fabrics that have washed upon shore.

SCP 12253 has been observed using a sort of dark mist to control the island it is contained in. the other figures have no knowledge of this.

SCP 12253 was discovered when a cruise ship mysteriously teleported 100 miles away from the original point, which SCP 12253 had remarked as "Too close"

on [DATE REDACTED], Dr Brian Anderson conducted an interview with SCP 12253, after a series of attempts to create trust between the two. His reason for the exercises was that "It's like a wild animal. With a little work it'll start talking."

The interview went as followed

[SCP 12253 sits on a rock, eye level with Dr Brian. It speaks in a slightly monotone voice.]

12253: Hi there, Brian.

[Dr Brian had not previously told SCP 12253 his name]

Dr Brian: How did you know my name?

12253: It's all over you. your face, your mind. In fact, the only thing keeping you tied to your reality is that toy in your pocket.

[This was an item Dr Brian had not told anyone about. He said it was for "good luck"]

Dr Brian: I've had him since I was a child.

12253: Exactly. Your childhood. It's what makes us different. You grew up, had a family. You were loved. We weren't so lucky.

Dr Brian: What do you mean?

[SCP 12253's emotionless personality drops.]

12253: This place… It was just an island. I was just a kid. but time passed and somehow, I something in me changed. I can't explain it, or how. I've been different lately. There are these things I can do I can't explain. I can trap people here, like it's some kind of other world.

Dr Brian: How do you know this?

12253: I don't know. It hasn't happened yet, but if you didn't have that toy, you'd be just like us.

Dr Brian: Trapped?

12253: No! Ok, actually yeah. But you wouldn't want to leave anyway.

Dr Brian: Who are the others?

12253: They came here with me. They don't really know what's going on. I think Terra has an idea, though.

Dr Brian: who is Terra?

12253: The leader. he handles uh… A lot of stuff. He's really smart, so we look to him for help. He protected me. They protected me.

[SCP 12253 begins to tear up]

12253: I have to protect them, right? It's only fair!

Dr Brian: What are you?

12253: Oh, right. My name is Dawn. I don't remember my real name. Well, I do. It was Clare. But Clare's been gone for a while now.

[SCP 12253's tears fall onto the ground, and a purple flower of unknown species grows within five seconds.]

Dr Brian: Did you know you could do this?

12253: No, this is the first time.

[SCP 12253 pulls the flower from the ground, holding it gently before beginning to sing a song listener's describe as sounding like a mix between Italian and Japanese, but the lyrics seemed untranslatable]

Dr Brian: Thank you for your time.

End log

The dark mist that surrounds SCP 12253 has been determined to be toxic to any foreign individual, but will not effect the other subjects on the island.

Other subjects have been interviewed, but some flee whenever a researcher is spotted. Below is an interview from a subject calling herself "Sun"

Dr Brian: Hello. I am Dr Brian. I'm here to talk to you.

[the subject takes a calm breath and approaches slowly.]

subject: My name is Sun.

Dr Brian: How did you get here?

[the subject rubs her arm, looking way for a moment.]

Subject: I don't remember. A crash, I think.

Dr Brian: Who were your parents?

[The subject trembles for a moments before running.]

Note from leading researcher Dr Amy: Brian, we talked about this, the higher ups may not care right now, but you can't bond with these things. They are SCPs, and no matter how tragic of a backstory they weave, it's your job to get facts.

Note from secondary researcher Dr Brian: Has anyone here thought to question if they feel emotions or not? Plus, how are we supposed to get info if they're too busy crying? They're just some kids who never got the chance to grow up.
