Item #: SCP-4371
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4371 is to be kept in a eighteen meter tall cylindrical room, similar to a missile silo. The cell should be empty of all moisture and condensation. All personnel who enter SCP-4371’s containment cell are to wear a hazmat suit, and before and after entering the cell the suits must be removed of all moisture. No organic matter should enter the cell without proper protection.
If personnel are seen with matter of SCP-4371 on their hazmat suits, the suit should be incinerated.
If personnel are seen with matter of SCP-4371 on personnel on unprotected organic matter, the person should be incinerated.
If any matter of SCP-4371 is seen outside of containment, no personnel should touch it, and call MTF Theta 4 “Gardeners” to retrieve it.
In order to prevent the spread of SCP-4371-1, there should be no air vents or open airways exiting SCP-4371’s cell.
If any forms of SCP-4371-2 are seen anywhere in Site-66 there is to be a full facility lock down until it is removed.
In order to remove SCP-4371-2 a Biological cleanup crew is to go through the usual steps of removing black mold. If SCP-4371-2 is still alive though, the subject must be incinerated to avoid further spread of the mold.
Description: SCP-4371 is a mutated version of Stachybotrys Chartarum, commonly known as Black Mold. SCP-4371 is Fifty Five (55) Feet tall and takes up a diameter of Sixty (60) Feet.
SCP-4371 was recovered in ███████, a small town in northern Canada.
The mold itself was discovered in the local Middle school on June 23rd 19██, while a janitor was cleaning the lockers during summer break. Back then it was just typical mold from a ham sandwich. When school was opened again in two months. The moldy sandwich, which was in the dumpster outside the school grounds. The mold grew into the size of the dumpster, and within the two months the mold grew to the size of a forty yard dumpster (22 ft. long by 8 ft. wide by 8 ft. high)
In 20██ after a site wide containment breach, where SCP-4371's airlock doors were opened, SCP-4371 grew from the size of a basic dumpster, to a missile silo, MTF Theta 4 got SCP-4371 into a proper containment cell and the rest of the site was re-contained.
Reports of the mold being sentient and hostile were sent in after moving the mold. Because of these complaints Dr. Willis conducted an interview with SCP-4371.

Addendum 2/3/20██: The spores of SCP-4371 can use any living matter as a host. Through testing it has been proven the mold is more advanced then theorized. SCP-4371-2 are any form of living matter that has contracted the mold.
It is theorized more traces of SCP-4371 that are uncontained. But none have been reported or found as of 5/1/20██
