Item #: scp-XXX

Class: Safe

Special containment procedures: scp-XXX is to be contained in a standard anomalous object containment vault in Site-64. scp-XXX is not to be removed except for testing purposes or cleanup operations. All proposed tests require to be approved by Researcher Jacob Conwell. Requests made by site-64 janitorial staff to use scp-XXX require approval by Researcher Jacob Conwell and site-64’s head janitor. scp-XXX-1, scp-XXX-2 and scp-XXX-3 are to be stored within the same containment vault at all times unless used for the before mentioned purposes.

Description: scp-XXX is a “Cleanest Clean!” brand small cleaning supplies kit consisting of a window cleaner spray bottle, scp-XXX-1, and a package of disinfecting wipes, scp-XXX-2.

scp-XXX-1 is a clear spray bottle capable of holding 32oz of liquid. On one side of scp-XXX-1 there is a sticker with the “Cleanest Clean!” Logo as well as a sticker on the opposite side with a description reading

“KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN”

When the trigger on scp-XXX-1 is pressed the bottle sprays a mist in the direction the nozzle is facing at the time of the press. When sprayed on a translucent surface that is less than 3cm thick the area that was sprayed with scp-XXX-1 becomes completely transparent and has its refractive index shifted to match the composition of the atmosphere in contact with the surface. This effect last for 1 week from which point the surface will revert back to its original form at a random time within 24 hours. After reverting the surface displays no lasting anomalous properties.

scp-XXX-2 is a medium sized package of disinfecting wipes. When removed from the package the wipes dissolve all organic material they come in contact with into its base components. Testing has shown that 100% of all organic material was dissolved on all tested surfaces. When applied directly to a living organisms skin the wipe will instantly dissolve the organic material with no resistance, leading to the wipes to “fall” through organic materials such as wood as if they werent there. The ph level of the wipes was tested to be an exact 7 and has not been observed to react with any material other than organic material. ~5 minutes after initial removal from the package, the wipes loose all anomalous properties and immitate standard alcohol based wet wipes.

scp-XXX is not impervious to damage and shows wear around the frequently used areas. The amount of wipes as well as window cleaner fluid are also finite. The consumables within scp-XXX have been reported to fully regenerate once they are completely used and left unobserved for a period of two weeks. Removing the spray cap from the spray bottle and replacing either component for a non anomalous version removes all anomalous properties.

The origins of scp-XXX are at this time unknown.

Testing is currently on hold due to scp-XXX’s essential role in the cleanup and containment of organic material.

Under no circumstance is scp-XXX to be used in cross-testing with other scp objects. Following Ethics committee ruling on 12/09/20██, testing on humanoids has been forbidden.

Recovery: scp-XXX was found in a storage room used for cleaning supplies located on level 2 of Site-64. The anomalous properties were discovered after a member of the janitorial staff attempted to pull a wipe out of scp-XXX-2 without wearing protective gloves resulting in the tips of four fingers being dissolved. scp-XXX was subsequently moved to the anomalous object containment vault.
