Special Containment Procedures: SCP-01 is to be kept in a small room with the item being in the middle of the room, the room must be bigger than 10 meters2. No more than five (5) test subjects can enter the containment chamber at one time, as more than five (5) seems to agitate the item quickly. SCP-01's containment chamber does not have to be cleaned. A heat camera(s) is also to be placed inside the containment chamber.3
Description: SCP-01, is a ██████ branded plasma ball without its pedestal. The top part is made of plexiglass (poly(methyl methacrylate)). The ball seems to strangely levitate five (5) meters above the ground. The cause of this levitation is unknown, however, experimentation lead by Dr. ███████ has indicated that an instance of ████████ █████████████ may be the cause. SCP-01 does not need to be plugged in for it to be working.4
Any life form within a four (4) meter radius of the item will cause the lightning inside SCP-01 to violently grow in power and eventually cause a plasma burst out of the ball. As this happens, the burst will break the glass and severely burn anything within a 10 meter radius.
The item will then revert to its normal state causing the glass to re-form back into the shape of a ball.
SCP-01 was found in an abandoned factory made to make the same thing with the same brand. On one of the offices at the factory was text saying [REDACTED]. The foundation assumed the text was the name of a worker at the factory. The foundation eventually found the man and interviewed him, asking when and why the factory was abandoned.

Dr. ██████: Okay, so I'm going to need you to answer a series of questions and then you can leave, okay?
Office Worker: Okay, got it.
Dr. ██████: Good, and you promise not to tell anybody about this place?
Office Worker: Okay, okay I won't, just get on with the questions and let me out of here already.
Dr. ██████: Alright, so, question one (1), why did you close the factory?
Office Worker: We closed it because we had some… Issues, with our latest model.
Dr. ██████: What kind of issues?
Office Worker: Do I have to tell you?
Dr. ██████: Unless you want to be detained until you will cooperate you don't have to tell us.
Office Worker: Okay okay, i'll te- wait, who is "us"?
Dr. ██████: Just answer the question!
Office Worker: Okay! Jeez.
Dr. ██████: …Well?
Office Worker: Well, what I mean by issues is that, well, you contained our latest model, and the things it does now are the things we discovered it could do when we made it.
Dr. ██████ writes down on a notepad. "Mhm."
Office Worker: And when we closed it? I would say about one year prior to when the incident happened.
Dr. ██████ writes down more things on a notepad.
Dr. ██████ looks at the office worker waiting for more information.
Office Worker: So, there's your info. Can I go home now?
Dr. ██████ sighs.
Dr. ██████ goes to an intercom.
Dr. ██████: (Over intercom) Attention, Mobile Task Force Delta-5 please detain subject interviewed, subject refuses to speak.
Office Worker: Wha- hey!
Mobile Task Force Delta-5 enters the room and grabs the office worker.

Closing Statement: Dr. ██████ got all the information he needed to take to the foundation from the office worker, except for what the incident was. The office worker has yet to cooperate and tell what he knows about the incident until two (2) days after the last interview.

Foreword: This will be a shorter interview as Dr. ████ will only be asking about what the "incident" was.

Dr. ████: Dr. ██████ is unavailable today so I will be taking over.
Office Worker: What do you want?
Dr. ████: I just want to ask one (1) question, and if you cooperate, you can go home, got it?
Office Worker: Fine.
Dr. ████: Good, let's begin.
Dr. ████: So, what exactly is the "incident"?
Office Worker: Ugh, not this one again.
Office Worker: Well, when we created "latest and greatest idea", which is what our boss called it, we tested it out and…
Dr. ████: And?
Office Worker: It killed five (5) people… Can I go now?
Dr. ████: Well, I bet you have a bad excuse for waiting two (2) days to tell us this, but I'll take it.
Dr. ████ goes to an intercom.
Dr. ████: (Over intercom) Attention, Mobile Task Force Delta-5 please escort interviewed subject, were done here.
<End Log, 12:04>Closing Statement: After the interview, the office worker was sent free to go home and the foundation now knows enough about the SCP.
Addendum 01-01: SCP-01 seems to react violently to lights. To solve this, we have removed all lights and from the containment chamber, equipped test subjects with heat vision goggles, and installed heat vision cameras inside the containment chamber.
Addendum 01-02: The floor inside SCP-01-'s containment chamber slowly builds a static electricity effect to it while SCP-01 is inside the chamber. Anyone inside the chamber will get electricity flown through them, causing the hair on the body to slowly stick upwards.
Addendum 01-03: SCP-01 does not come with a power cord.

Subjects enter containment chamber
Dr. ████: (Over intercom) Please try to stay as far away as you can from SCP-01.
SCP-01 starts to make a zapping sound.
Heat camra footage starts to show SCP-01 increasingly getting hotter.
Dr. ████: (Over intercom) Test subject 3 get as far away as you can from SCP-01 immediately!
Test subject 3 starts to run away from SCP-01.
Video camera footage cuts off.
A boom and screams by test subject 3 and test subject 2 are heard inside the containment chamber.
