Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and 2 are to be held in a secure 20cmX15cm Polycarbonate safe, in a secure storage room.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a mock firearm approximately 15 centimeters long and 10 centimeters tall. Its construction is mostly of bright orange plastic, with green grip as well as a green revolving chamber. SCP-XXXX-2 is a box made of oak wood, measuring 10cmX5cmX5cm. A small brass clasp is screwed into the similarly brass hinged top of the object, allowing the box to be firmly closed without outside aid.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a toy percussion cap gun in form as well as function. A small bar beneath the barrel of the object is pulled to flip the front portion of the object down, allowing for the item to be loaded with a ring of seven (7) percussion caps. A small stamp upon the bottom of the handle, reading: 19██, P███ Corps. Made in █████ Any and all attempts so far to dismantle SCP-XXXX-1/2 have been met with failure.

SCP-XXXX-2 seems to be simple wooden box upon first examination. However upon opening the container, researchers found five (5) rings of the percussion caps that corresponds to the mock firearm. Upon removal of the rings within the box, SCP-XXXX-2 immediately closed itself and latched shut. All immediate attempts to open the box afterwards failed. After 32 hours the latch on the object flipped open, allowing the box to be opened once again. Another set of five (5) percussion cap rings were discovered, and removed. 12 hours after that, the original set of percussion cap rings, which had been placed in the safe with SCP-XXXX-1, had disappeared. There does not seem to be any correlation between the caps used and the box's timing. Testing proved that the box only adheres to the 32 hour timetable, even if all 35 shots are expended.

Upon research and testing done by class 4 personnel, it was found that when SCP-XXXX-1 is fired using the percussion cap rings provided by SCP-XXXX-2, it seems to react with matter in a similar fashion as conventional firearm does. Ballistic trauma appears upon the target, whether it be organic or inanimate in nature. No projectile is visibly seen, nor is any form of radiation or wavelength present. Upon human testing, further anomalies were discovered. A human target will immediately be transformed into a leather jacket. Said jacket holds the physical attributes of the target, IE arm hair, skin colour, as well as the occasional hood that retains facial features as well. Following Ethics committee ruling on 06/11/20██, human testing has been forbidden.

Containment log: SCP-XXXX-1 and 2 were found in the possession of █ year old Cassie ███████. She had fired the weapon and killed her neighbor's son, resulting in a court case. This led to Foundation involvement, and the collection of SCP-XXXX.
