[A FEW MISSING DETAILS THAT I PLAN ON ADDING:
-Explicit mention of a GoI plant handling the initial processing of SCP-XXXX at Site 96.
-Explicit mention and confirmation that the assistant was responsible for the continuous spread of SCP-XXXX in the site.

Should have these in in like a few hours or something.]

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Uncontained Safe (Unknown)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in various sealed folders within a standard secure locker. Access to SCP-XXXX requires approval by anyone with 3/XXXX clearance. After access to SCP-XXXX Class A amnestics are to be administered. Any documents made by someone accessing SCP-XXXX are to be processed for memetic properties. Documents that are found to have memetic properties are to be immediately destroyed, and anyone exposed to such documents are to have Class A amnestics administered immediately.

Efforts to locate and recontain SCP-XXXX-1 are underway. MTF-Delta-5 has been informed to be on the lookout for mentions of a "spatial-temporal-compression storage device."

Description: Following the events of Incident XXXX-2, the previous classification of SCP-XXXX has been switched with SCP-XXXX-1. The previous special containment procedures for the current SCP-XXXX-1 is located in Addendum-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX is a collection of documents, blueprints, and images that provide instructions for the creation and operation of a "spatial-temporal-compression storage device." There are an estimated 200 documents in the collection, all detailing the creation, operation, or mechanics of the device.

Each document in the collection is a meme that, when read, cause the reader to aid in the creation of the device described by the documents if at all possible. Those affected by the meme will also create copies of the documents, partial or as a full collection depending on what they have access too, and distribute them to any work associates.

The memetic effect is removable through the total loss of memory of the meme. [Will expand this or combine with above paragraph]

SCP-XXXX-1 is a completed device that was originally under containment by the Foundation. SCP-XXXX-1 was lost after Incident-XXXX-2, and is presumed to be in disrepair. Field agents are currently working to locate SCP-XXXX-1 for recovery and containment.

[Addendum-ize everything below]

Addendum-XXXX-1: The discovery of SCP-XXXX coincided with the discovery of various other anomalies during the events of Operation Maize, which began August 12, 2019. After various sting operations enacted by Brazilian police and undercover MTF-Iota-10 agents on cartels and various other paramilitary organizations in eastern South America, a cartel proxy for the Chaos Insurgency began regular transportation from a compound in northern Brazil. Field agents identified an unrecognizable structure within the compound and informed regional administration of a possible anomaly. The location was noted for investigation during the follow-up operation Jungle Lightning.

Operation Jungle Lightning began a month later, lead by the newly formed MTF-Nu-8 "Jungle Lightning." On November 16, 2019, a platoon was prepared to
take the compound. Sattelite footage and field agents confirmed that part of the structure still stood, though about a 1/4 of it was missing due to being transported across multiple vehicles away to another facility about 50 miles north of the compound during the one month period leading up to the operation. First and second squads would clear the compound while third squad acted as a QRF and containment team in case any additional anomalies were found inside the compound.

The compound was seized on November 17, 2019 with no casualties from any squads. Resistance by the cartel members inhabiting the compound was minimal, with only two having to be incapacitated through force. Within the compound were various sealed documents, which would later be reclassified as SCP-XXXX. Investigation of the structure within the compound by the containment team showed no anomalous activity, so it was seized, disassembled, and stowed away in a long-term low-risk unit at Storage Site-XX as a precaution. The documents currently classified as SCP-XXXX were brought to Research Site-96.

Incident-XXXX-1: Upon arrival and processing at Site-96, the contents of the documents were examined. Unaware of the memetic effect of the documents, multiple research staff were exposed to the contents of SCP-XXXX and became affected by its memes. Senior Researcher Dr. Derrick Wright drafted Project BIN to investigate and recreate the device documented in SCP-XXXX, and was given approval by the Site Director. Initially, Dr. Wright was granted a dozen other staff to assist in the project, but in the coming weeks, the project would grow to encompass most of the research staff at Site-96, whether or not their specialization applied to the needs of the project. It is assumed that at this point, most of the site had encountered a meme instance.

On December 23, 2019, the device of Project BIN, now designated SCP-XXXX-1 was considered complete. Preparations began to start testing with it. Across the next week, the device would be used over 340 times with various objects and SCPs. The spatial anomaly created by the device would prove stable enough to contain various natural and anomalous objects in a compressed point of space-time. Researcher Dr. Martin, who was in charge of creating procedures to operate and utilize the device, drafted up a new series of containment procedures for various anomalies that were being stored at the site, most of which were in specialized containment units or were located on other ends of the facility to SCP-XXXX-1. These were passed up the chain from the Project director to the Site Director, who approved of the new containment procedures. Following this, several SCPs were proceeded to be stored within the spatial anomaly of SCP-XXXX-1. An estimated 48 SCPs were stored in spatial anomaly SCP-XXXX-1 before Incident-XXXX-2.

Incident-XXXX-2: The following is an approximate timeline of events that occurred on January 8, 2020 at Site 96. Parts of this are pieced together using records recovered from the remains of Site-96, including surviving camera footage, audio recordings, and intercepted phone calls. Interviews with witnesses of the events during Incident-XXXX-2 have been used to fill in gaps within the remaining records.

05:32 - Head of Project BIN Dr. Wright informed site staff of a required absence due to a non-life-threatening medical complication.

07:03 - Standard procedure to confirm the stability of the spatial anomaly contained in SCP-XXXX-1 commenced, confirming no abnormal behavior in the anomaly.

07:42 - Dr. Martin requested special access to SCP-XXXX-1 as part of continued research into the nature of the spatial anomaly contained within SCP-XXXX-1. The time period he requested for access was from 10:00 to 11:30. Dr. Rogers, Assistant to Head of Project BIN, approves access for the allotted time period of 10:00 to 11:30.

9:35 - After finishing her remaining clerical work, Dr. Rogers proceeded to check-out of the site, leaving the premises with her personal 2018 Ford Explorer.

9:54 - CCTV footage nearby the site recorded Dr. Rogers SUV entering an alleyway. It does not leave through any physically possible way and is confirmed to be missing by field agents later in the day.

10:07 - Dr. Martin, accompanied by another researcher and two junior researchers, entered the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX-1. Dr. Martin, assisted by the other research, removed a side panel on the device, and began interacting with the internal mechanisms. The other researchers proceeded to write on personal clipboards while observing the device.

10:11 - All cameras across the site stopped recording. Additionally, a distress signal is transmitted to regional administration about a catastrophic event taking place at Site 96.

10:17 - Field agents arrived at Site 96 to discover most of it being gone, with a crater almost as large as the entire site centered where SCP-XXXX-1 was contained. They notify regional the extent of the damages and begin efforts to locate survivors who wandered outside the site.

10:32 - Multiple response and containment teams arrived at the site. Two breaches were recontained, survivors were extracted, and all remaining documents and records were recovered. 38 site staff out of 267 were accounted for, with 4 casualties among them.

~10:55 - Recovered footage is examined by teams on-scene. Dr. Rogers leaving the site is noted and investigated.

11:13 - A response team investigated the disappearance of Dr. Rogers's SUV, discovering several sealed folders in the alleyway. They are recovered for further investigation.

The folders are identified to be the original SCP-XXXX-1, and are suspected to have some sort of anomalous effect. They are identified to be memetic agents, leading to the reclassification of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX.
