Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4027 will be kept in a classroom setting that is approximately 9 meters in width, 9 meters in length, and 3 meters in height. SCP-xxxx will be kept screwed on the forward facing wall. Exactly 10 desks will be facing towards SCP-4027. A white chalkboard shall be placed under SCP-4027. Finally, a desk measuring 3 meters in width, half a meter in length, and 1 and a half meters in height will be placed in the back of the class. An observation chamber with a soundproof glass panel will be used. Only level 2 personnel or above may enter.
Description: SCP-4027 is a common school clock. On it is a speaker and the current time in green lettering. Eastern time is shown, no matter the region. Upon being removed from a classroom setting a loud streak will be heard coming from the speaker, after which the time shown on SCP-4027 and all surrounding digital clocks will be swapped to the number 1:15. Any and all surrounding life forms become still for approximately 5 seconds, after which they will begin to search for a sharp object. Upon being satisfied with what they found they will begin to carve, in any way possible, the numbers 1:15 in their chest, they then begin to worship SCP-4027. After enough blood has left the body, all life forms will turn into SCP-4027-1, refer below. After every creature has transformed into SCP-4027, SCP-4027 will cease to emit the sound until a living creature steps within 15 feet of SCP-4027. Sound is however heard every 45 minutes, of a common school bell.
If SCP-4027 is attempted to be destroyed it will begin to emit a pitched shriek, in which all life forms present will begin to experience the effects as mentioned before.
SCP-4027-1: SCP-4027-1, referred to as “pale faces”, are the remains of any living thing SCP-4027 has otherwise affected. Any skin immediately is void of any color, skin turns leathery, eyes roll back leaving blank color. Each instance of SCP-4027-1 sits on the ground in front of SCP-4027. It is now thought that they sit this way to represent students in a classroom. Every 45 minutes the bell will go off and the pale faces will stand and turn around, after four minutes they turn back around, and sit. After this the bell will go off, and wait another 45 minutes to repeat the process.
Addendum 4027-1: After removing SCP-4027 from a class for repairs it was taken to █████. On the moment it was placed on a table, a loud shriek began erupting from the speaker. Hearing this, the surrounding life forms became still. They began to carve a symbol on their chest and worshiping SCP-4027. They turned to pale faces and were recovered later by facility scientist ████. The clock was transferred to the foundation and placed into containment site 18.
Test 4027-1: D-23546 was placed into a room with SCP-4027 being suspended by wires, the clock was lowered onto a table and began screaching. D-23546 began experiencing the effects previously stated. It is now believed that vibration instead of hearing affects life forms.
Test 4027-2: An ant was placed in the same room as D-23546, the clock was lowered to the table and began the effects listed above. The ant, not being able to do any cutting, starved itself to death, it did no become an instance of SCP-4027-1.
