Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be provided with entertainment, specifically juvenile toys. SCP-XXXX adores race car toys, building blocks, and blankets. Provide subject with those listed primarily. In briefing, SCP-XXXX had mentioned they relish outer-space. At any given chance, provide SCP-XXXX with imagery of planets, stars, or outer space. Doing so increases the mood of the subject, which is imperative to reduce the area of the plague (see description). SCP-XXXX is not to come into contact with humans, but is permitted to communicate with them. SCP-XXXX is to be taken in for testing once a week in order to provide research for the disease it produces. SCP-XXXX does not require sustenance. It appears to function perfectly without such nutrients that human juveniles require. SCP-XXXX will require new entertainment often, as it appears to grow bored of toys after a week's time.
Description: SCP-XXXX takes the form of a small, humanoid, 4'0" (122 cm) male juvenile. SCP-XXXX appears pitch-black, as if mimicking a shadow. SCP-XXXX also appears blurry, with two bright white eyes and a mouth. SCP-XXXX has long, dark, fluffy hair as well. This hair is approximately 4'4" (133 cm) long, and is a brighter shade of black than SCP-XXXX's body. SCP-XXXX behaves much like a stereotypical 8-year-old male. SCP-XXXX enjoys engaging in conversation with employees. Employees are encouraged to converse with SCP-XXXX as this raises its mood. SCP-XXXX expresses interest in racing, sports, space, and bug collecting. SCP-XXXX is noted to cooperate when testing. In fact, after seeing what SCP-XXXX had done to employees it had touched, it has cooperated much more and expressed desire to not engage in contact with humans. As mentioned previously, SCP-XXXX is not to make contact with humans. Doing so will create a blurry, black substance on the victim's area of exposal. It is imperative to sustain content in SCP-XXXX due to the aforementioned black substance. This substance will reduce when SCP-XXXX is content or joyous. It will expand when SCP-XXXX is disgruntled, ailed, irate, or despondent. This plague cannot be dissipated, merely reduced. The plague can spread to new hosts by contact, posing a serious threat. If the plague consumes the host's entire body, they will begin to appear similar to SCP-XXXX. The victim will then act as if they had lost a brain, daily routines consist of standing around a room aimlessly, sniffing containment walls, and pounding on the floor. A week post-transformation, the victim will perish, experiencing [REDACTED]. To remove this substance from the host's body after contact, amputation is the one and only option. It is noted that SCP-049 takes interest in SCP-XXXX's plague.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was found crying alone in a warehouse. The corpses of a John Doe and Jane Doe were found at the site. Assumed role: SCP-XXXX's guardians. Body condition: [REDACTED]. Post-containment, SCP-XXXX seemed to have forgotten entirely about what had happened. Possible explanations: amnesia, repressed memories, memory deterioration, concussion.
Interview of 06/10/████:
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. ███████
Foreword: Dr. ███████ will be interviewing SCP-XXXX on some of the frequently asked questions from the doctors and employees.
<Begin Log, 14:37>
Dr. ███████: SCP-XXXX, what do you know about this plague of yours?
SCP-XXXX: Well… I know it hurts the people who just want to take care of me, which is really mean. This is a really bad thing to catch, so I just don't touch anyone.
Dr. ███████: SCP-XXXX, do you recall any memories of your parents?
SCP-XXXX: My… parents? I really dunno if I had any. I don't know much from before I came here, I'm sorry.
Dr. ███████: SCP-XXXX, what is your prime desire?
SCP-XXXX: I want to go to the moon when i get older! It seems so wacky, and cool! Out of this world!
Dr. ███████: SCP-XXXX, what is your true name?
SCP-XXXX: My real name? Easy! I… think it was [DATA EXPUNGED].
<End Log, 14:51>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX cannot remember any events that transpired from pre-containment, and despises its own plague. SCP-XXXX can, however, recall its own name, and expresses childish wishes.
Test of 04/23/████: Post containment, SCP-XXXX behaved somewhat cooperatively, walking on employees' demands. During testing, SCP-XXXX had experienced mild pain due to the incisions and inspections the surgeons had made. SCP-XXXX had seen SCP-049 whilst on its way to the testing laboratory.
Test of 04/30/████: SCP-XXXX had adapted to the testing environment and cooperatively followed the employees to the testing grounds. SCP-XXXX expressed less pain from the incisions made on it. SCP-XXXX has waved to SCP-049, and SCP-049 has not waved back in response, merely stared. It is theorized that the two of them are bonding.
Test of 05/07/████: SCP-XXXX gained full knowledge of the weekly testing, and it has told the employees that the incisions do not hurt it anymore. SCP-XXXX is capable of navigating to and fro its chamber and the testing lab. SCP-XXXX and SCP-049 often exchange glances on the way to the testing lab.
Test of 07/02/████: SCP-XXXX and SCP-049 had been put in a chamber together for special testing. Whilst in special testing, SCP-049 had not experienced the desire to converse. SCP-XXXX did tell SCP-049 about its current interests, however SCP-049 did not express any interests of its own. SCP-049 questioned SCP-XXXX's ability to spread a plague, to which SCP-XXXX responded with silence. This adds to the theory that SCP-XXXX dislikes its ability to spread a plague, and changes the idea that SCP-049 and SCP-XXXX are mutuals, to the idea that SCP-049 is simply interested in SCP-XXXX's plague, and not in SCP-XXXX.
Incident report of 04/25/████: SCP-XXXX had come in contact with an unsuspecting guard, two days back. The facility staff did not know of the plague and its conditions, leading to the victim transforming into a vile creature. SCP-XXXX expressed remorse for its actions, surprisingly.
Incident report of 06/19/████: SCP-XXXX had tripped and fell whilst being escorted to the testing grounds. This movement had made slight contact with an employee, subjecting them to the plague. SCP-XXXX was in tears due to this. Fortunately, a surgeon was able to amputate the specific patch of skin the plague had latched to, saving a life.
Incident report of 7/10/████: SCP-XXXX was being tested this day, when the surgeon had made the fatal error of touching SCP-XXXX's skin. Fortunately, the surgeon could easily remove the patch of skin that was infected. SCP-XXXX was elated that no repeats of the primary incident would occur.
