Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a secure, sealed container measuring 1 meter long, 25 cm wide, and 10 cm thick. The container is to contain standard Class II Thaumaturgical wards to prevent SCP-XXXX's anomalous affects.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sword resembling a kilij sabre dating to the early 1700's. It is presumed that SCP-XXXX was not anomalous prior to the events of the Ottoman-Hotaki War.

SCP-XXXX is an object avatar1 of the Islamic demon Tir.2 SCP-XXXX's anomalous affects trigger when an individual, designated SCP-XXXX-1, maintains proximity with it for an extended period of time. This 'grooming' period varies from individual to individual.

Over this period, SCP-XXXX-1 will start to display the following attributes.

* A disdain for a certain individual or group of individuals. If the SCP-XXXX-1 instance displayed targeted disdain prior to the grooming period, they are amplified.
* Physically engaging with a person or persons they have the aforementioned disdain for.
* A sense or feeling of superiority over individuals they have disdain for.
* Natural leadership and charismatic qualities that inspire the above traits in other persons. (They do not become instances of SCP-XXXX-1, merely inspired by them.)
* Utilizing above leadership capabilities to perform hate-based attacks on groups SCP-XXXX-1 has disdain for.

SCP-XXXX was recovered following a United States Military raid in 02/10/2002 by members of the 3rd Ranger Battalion of the US Army. The raid was on a cave system approximately 40km NE of Kabul, Afghanistan. The objective of the raid was to capture or kill Abdul Wadood al-Hares. A lieutenant of Al-Queda in the process of transporting SCP-XXXX to an alternate location. At the time, the only intelligence the US Military had suggested the weapon was biological or chemical in nature. The details of the raid are detailed in Addendum XXXX-A
