Item #: SCP-5373
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5373 is to be kept in a 12 inch by 12 inch by 12 inch hollow block of concrete. A small lid is to be placed on the top of the block. Any holes in the box other than the lid are to be repaired with wet cement. The block is to be kept on a 1 meter elevated platform. All of this is to be placed in a 5 x 5 meter room. 2 meters in front of the entrance to the room, a 1.5 meter opaque wall is placed. Steel is preferred for the material of the wall. Green paint is to be placed on the floor of the room where direct eye contact with the box isn't possible and red paint where it is.
Description: SCP-5373 is a piece of tiger stone 1 x 0.75 inches in size with 2 3 faces. One that has a normal tiger stone appearance, side A, and one that is entirely in the RBG coordinates of ████, side B, and ███████████,███ connected to a necklace strand of unknown brand. See Incident 5373-1 for details. When not being observed by a human subject, object has no anomalous properties. When it is observed with nothing in the way, like glass, however, the observer will begin to get an urge to touch the object. If the object has a necklace strand attached to it, the observer will try to wear it afterwards. Any attempts to separate the observer and SCP-5373 have failed. When the observer has grabbed SCP-5373, they will turn it so that a random side is facing the sky and enter a trance state. The odds of side A occurring is 45%. The odds of side B occurring is 43%. The odds of side █ occurring is 2%. If side A is face up when the trance state occurs, the subject will no longer be capable of telling a lie for the next 15 minutes. Asking them something they do not know about will cause the brain to go into a meltdown. If side B is face up when the trance state occurs, The subject will no longer be capable of speaking the truth by any means for the next hour. Unlike side A, side B can be used to ask about things the subject doesn't know about. If side █ is face up when the trance occurs, the subject will attempt to show as many people SCP-5373 as possible until the subject dies. Those who see SCP-5373 during this time period have odds of landing side █ of 89%.
Incident 5373-1: During a routine test, D-5373 landed side █. The subject got out of the containment chamber and exposed ██ personnel to SCP-5373 before Doctor ████,in a last ditch effort, cut off the necklace strand in an attempt to neutralize SCP-5373. The object fell to the floor and D-5373 was terminated by on-site guards. Anomalous properties were found in the remaining tiger stone and Doctor ████ was demoted for an unauthorized attempt to neutralize an SCP. Object reclassified as Euclid.
