Somewhat close to completion:
Item #: SCP-XX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XX is kept in a secure lock box on the fourth sublevel of Site-19. It is not to be handled by any Foundation personnel for any reason. If it becomes necessary to handle SCP-XX, it is to be held in the agent’s right hand, regardless of whether or not the agent is right-handed.
Description:
SCP-XX is an ivory stylus etched in a runic script visually similar to japanese kanji. If held in the user’s right hand, SCP-XX displays no anomalous properties. When placed behind the ear or held in the left hand, the user immediately becomes able to perceive the world through text in a manner similar to expositional narration. The user’s visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, and gustatory systems are temporarily discontinued, and all sensory input is perceived via text. Users are unable to describe how this information is perceived, however, users have stated specifically that the text is not read visually. In addition, information the user would not otherwise be capable of sensing is available when using SCP-XX.
When held in the user’s left hand, the user claims they have the ability to edit this narration, and will become convinced that all edits they have made are true. If attempts are made to damage or destroy SCP-XX while it is held in the left hand, SCP-XX will terminate its user via massive cardiovascular trauma.
Addendum XX-A:
Test XX-A - ██/██/20██
Subject: D-5361
Procedure: D-5361 placed SCP-XX behind their ear and was told to transcribe the “narration.”
Results: D-5361 wrote four pages describing the testing area, interspersed with their passing thoughts.
Analysis: Without explicit stimuli, SCP-XX will describe the surroundings in a manner similar to literary exposition.
Test XX-B - ██/██/20██
Subject: D-8751
Procedure: D-8751 placed SCP-XX in their left hand, and was told to create a bowl of fruit.
Results: D-8751 shouted “You can’t stop me now!” and bodily assaulted research staff, resulting in four casualties before D-8751 was subdued. In post-test questioning, D-8751 claimed they were granted superhuman strength by SCP-XX. D-8751 exhibits no physical changes, and remains under observation.
Analysis: D-8751 was incarcerated for ██████ before being recruited as class D personnel. If the user is violent, results will likely be violent. If the subject feels constrained, the effect of SCP-XX will likely cause them to feel as though they can escape. Recommend discontinuing testing of SCP-XX on Class D personnel with violent pasts.
Test XX-F - ██/██/20██
Subject: D-1370
Procedure: D-1370 placed SCP-XX in their left hand and was told to describe the contents of an opaque concrete box.
Results: D-1370 perfectly described the contents of the box.
Analysis: SCP-XX grants the user access to information that cannot be accessed normally via human senses.
Addendum XX-B:
Researcher ████ attempted to remove a sliver of SCP-XX for genetic testing and laboratory analysis. SCP-XX exhibits an unmeasurably high Vickers hardness and resisted all damage. Frustrated, Researcher ████ then picked up SCP-XX in his left hand in an attempt to increase leverage. Video recording of the event showed that Researcher ████ convulsed and collapsed shortly after picking up SCP-XX. Autopsy of ████ revealed that the runes present on SCP-XX had been etched onto his heart, causing accelerated necrosis. All testing of SCP-XX has been discontinued.
These are almost entirely unfinished, and need the most help. They might not even end up being used. However, I would actually appreciate help with designing more bios for "Literal Tarshish."
This one in particular needs a lot more work. I think it might be an X-man, but it's less of an X-man than it used to be, so at this rate, it'll be okay in a few weeks.
Item #: SCP-XX
Object Class: Various1
Special Containment Procedures:
The corpse of SCP-XX-1 was cryogenically suspended and placed in cold storage at Site-19 post-autopsy.
SCP-XX-2 could not be recovered or contained. It is capable of bypassing all field containment operations with ease. It is believed that SCP-XX-2 could be contained if captured and brought to specialized containment facilities, however the object has not been sighted since discovery.
The remains of SCP-XX-3 are stored in a standard polystyrene storage crate at Site-19. The object displays no anomalous properties beyond a resistance to identification.
Description:
SCP-XX refers to a group of three anomalous objects originating from a common source. SCP-XX was discovered after civilians in █████, Arizona reported a “black meteor” falling from the sky. All witness reported a “profound sense of dread” upon observing the meteor. Field Agent ████ called for Foundation intervention. MTF Phi-8 (“Dust Devils”)2 was deployed to recover and contain SCP-XX. The impact site of SCP-XX was filled in, and all residents of █████ were administered class B amnestics and released.
SCP-XX-1 was discovered, unconscious, in an impact crater on ██/██/██ alongside SCP-XX-2. It appears humanoid, roughly male, and approximately 2.5 meters tall. Main divergences from human form are chiropteran wings, approximately 3 meters long each, cranial structures resembling horns (through composed of solid bone rather than keratin coating a bone core), and claws.
SCP-XX-2 was discovered in the same impact crater as SCP-XX-1. It appears human, female, approximately 1.5 meters tall. Like SCP-XX-1, SCP-XX-2 also possesses wings, however its wings are avian rather than chiropteran. Estimated wingspan is 2.5 meters. Eyewitness accounts describe SCP-XX-2 as caucasian (though extremely pale), and skeletally thin. Like SCP-XX-1, SCP-XX-2 was unconscious when containment units arrived.
SCP-XX-3 was discovered three meters from SCP-XX-2’s body. It resembles a ceremonial Dutch partizan, approximately 1.5 meters long with a 30 centimeter blade. SCP-XX-3 was recovered from the site, but disintegrated into a fine silvery dust (Alloy, 32.1% silver, 7.7% platinum, 60.2% unidentified) during transport. Total mass measured at 56.76 kilograms. Considering the ease and speed with which SCP-XX-2 carried the weapon, it is considered to have abnormal strength. The alloy is 60.2% unidentified metal; All attempts to determine its identity via laboratory analysis have returned a result of common silver, though the metal exhibits different physical properties.
When field technicians ██████, ██████, ██ and ██████ attempted to move the two objects, SCP-XX-1 awakened and killed all three technicians tasked with moving it, then began to move toward SCP-XX-2 while flexing its claws. ██, who was responsible for moving SCP-XX-2, reported that SCP-XX-2 regained consciousness and shielded him from SCP-XX-1’s attack with its body. SCP-XX-2 suffered severe lacerations and a sample of its blood was able to be recovered from ██’s suit (See Addendum XX-B). SCP-XX-2 then recovered SCP-XX-3 and engaged SCP-XX-1, causing substantial damage to nearby Foundation equipment. SCP-XX-2 then subdued and executed SCP-XX-1. Following the death of SCP-XX-1, SCP-XX-2 was surrounded by MTF Phi-8 and ordered to surrender; following a brief firefight, SCP-XX-2 took off at high speed, passing through field containment measures without triggering them. Phi-8 suffered no casualties.
Because of its relatively ordinary (though gaunt) human appearance, it has proved difficult for agents to consider SCP-XX-2 as an object rather than a person. While this effect is often observed with humanoid objects, it is stronger with regards to SCP-XX-2. An inverse effect has been observed with regards to SCP-XX-1; subjects vehemently refuse to refer to it as anything but an object.

[[collapsible show="Autopsy Report, SCP-XX-1" hide="- Autopsy Report, SCP-XX-1"]]
SCP-XX-1 Autopsy Report
SUBJECT: SCP-XX-1
EXAMINER: Dr. ███ █████
EXTERNAL EXAMINATION: Adult male, species unknown; height of 2.61 meters, mass of 226.8 kilograms. Chest Wound, 2.41 cm in diameter, perfectly circular. (Conic eccentricity < 0.0001)
Horns and claws made of extensions of the subject’s bone structure. Wings appear to share skeletal and muscular similarities with Chiropteran species, though on a far larger scale. Subject possesses no obvious external reproductive organs. Tailbone is extended, and softens to cartilage, producing a mid length tail with limited muscular connection. Substantial contusions are present on the its torso and face, likely a result of its encounter with SCP-XX-2.
INTERNAL EXAMINATION: Physiology similar to adult male human of high physical ability; However, contains notable differences.
- Respiratory System
- Cardiovascular and Circulatory System
- Muscular System
- Skeletal System
- Digestive System
- Dermal System
- Nervous System
Subject possesses four lungs, each with 4 lobes. The upper lungs appear identical to human lungs, but the lower lungs have a unique structure unlike any mammalian species, and display large blue-green blotches. (See Laboratory Data)
Heart is 56% larger and 43% more dense than a human male of the same size, and has a circular hole in it aligned perfectly to the wound in the subject’s chest. The organ weighs 0.55 kg. Arteries and veins are thicker and capable of transporting 30% more blood than average human blood vessels. Likely result is a noticeable increase in efficiency. Blood itself is green and appears to fluoresce in the dark even after death. As a result, the subject’s eyes glow in the dark postmortem.
Muscular System is nearly identical to human male of same size, but far denser, likely the cause of the subject’s increased weight. The subject has no extramuscular fatty tissue.
With the exception of extra sockets in the scapulas to accommodate wings and the bones of the wings themselves, the subject’s skeleton is identical to a human’s. The bones are not hollow, like most winged species, raising concerns as to how SCP-XX-2 is capable of flight. Dental examination indicates the subject’s teeth are all pointed, with no molars; the subject is undoubtedly a carnivore.
The subject has only one set of intestines and no external method of waste expulsion. A cursory examination suggests that the subject consumes all food mass completely, and produces no waste. Following the intestines, biomass enters a organ in the subject’s pelvic region, in which it is consumed in a chemosynthetic process. (See Laboratory Data)
The subject’s dermis is very durable, similar to that of a pachyderm, and exhibits a slight metallic sheen. Vickers hardness measured at 880HV. Autopsy incision could not be performed with a scalpel; a laser cutter was required.
The subject’s brain is, similar to its muscular system, far more dense than the average human brain, weighing 3.21 kg. Most regions of the brain are normal, with the exception of the amygdala, which is noticeably smaller. The nerve endings themselves are far closer, and feature a denser - and likely substantially more reactive - network. The subject’s nervous system also appears to be immune to electrostatic shock.
LABORATORY DATA: Genetic analysis confirms similarities to human and chiropteran DNA. Despite the fluorescence observed in the subject’s blood, no radioactivity or any other dangerous processes have been detected, though Dr. █████ complained of dermal irritation where blood spatter contacted her skin. Causes are unknown.
Laboratory analysis of the lower lungs indicates they are capable of processing carbon dioxide, and produce oxygen as a byproduct in a process similar to sulfuric chemosynthesis. This means the subject is likely incapable of being suffocated under most circumstances. It is unknown how the Carbon byproducts are disposed of.
The subject’s stomach acid is extremely corrosive. When introduced to biological material (a leg of ham), the acid dissolved all biomass into a highly volatile “slurry,” which was found to contain nitrates, nitroglycerin, glucose, toluline, and other similar compounds. It is likely this mixture is then used as fuel, though such processes are unknown. SCP-XX-1’s stomach lining appears to be immune to the effects of the acid, and highly resilient to the hazardous compounds it produces. The acid’s chemical composition could not be determined.
Examination of the chest wound indicates that the area surrounding the wound had necrotized rapidly, and contains traces of silver and platinum.
The subject’s dermal structure is semi crystalline, composed of cells protected by a rigid cytoskeleton alternated in a cubic pattern with molecules of martensite steel. The cells appear to have fused with the metal, producing an extremely resilient, flexible biomaterial that resists acidic and basic compounds, cytoplasmic toxins, heat (Up to 987°C), and physical damage.
Genetic markers exhibited severe age-related damage. The subject was likely at the end of its normal life span.
NOTES: Cause of death is massive organ failure as a result of localized internal trauma. Due to the mechanically efficient anatomy of the subject, it was likely created artificially for the purposes of warfare. The subject would possess superhuman strength, survive on very little food, and would be capable of aerial and ground combat. Alive, it would be exceedingly difficult to subdue with Foundation equipment.
Addendum XX-B:
SCP-XX-2 Blood Sample Analysis
EXAMINER: Dr. ███ █████
LABORATORY DATA: The sample of blood obtained from SCP-XX-2 was confirmed during laboratory analysis to be 99.1% Homo Sapiens Sapiens, 0.1% Corvus Ruficollis, and 0.8% unidentified. The object’s blood exhibits strong acidic properties when exposed to metals other than silver or platinum, despite the absence of high hydrogen ion concentrations. In addition, the blood’s genetic markers show no signs of age-related damage. There are no genetic matches in Foundation databases.
Item #: SCP-XX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XX is kept in a break room on the third sublevel of Site-19. The object is completely harmless and does not require any special containment procedures, but is not permitted to be removed from the break room except for research purposes. No guards are required, as SCP-XX is immobile and will protest loudly if removed from the break room.
Description:
SCP-XX is a sentient coffee maker with no brand markers. It is capable of speaking, though it is unknown how it produces sound. All attempts to disassemble the object for research purposes appear to cause it extreme pain, comparable to that of performing an autopsy on a living subject, meaning that its inner functions are unknown. In addition, it never runs out of ground coffee.
SCP-XX is capable of producing any variety of coffee or tea, and does so cheerfully. It is known to pay passersby compliments on their appearance, despite its lack of eyes. SCP-XX objects to the use of its SCP designation and prefers to be addressed as “Joe,” likely as a reference to the vernacular “Cup of Joe.” It has an apparent rivalry with SCP-294, and will serve low-quality lukewarm coffee to anyone who mentions it, even in passing.
SCP-XX was discovered in 19██ after a █████████ coffee shop in ███████, ██████ began selling extinct varieties of coffee. Agents ████ and ████ were dispatched and retrieved the object. All employees of the cafe were administered a class C strength amnestic and released.
Item #: SCP-XX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XX’s variable location, it has proved impossible to fully contain. STF Omega-2 (“Lost City Guard”)3 is permanently stationed in SCP-XX.
SCP-XX uncontained. STF Omega-2 destroyed. Threat level undefined.
Description: SCP-XX is a coastal city located in variable locations in the Earth’s oceans, seas, and other bodies of water. Its infrastructure is largely Bronze Age, but its inhabitants, classified as SCP-XX-1, exhibit a level of technological expertise consistent with the Contemporary Era.
Instances of SCP-XX-1, while all human, vary widely in all demographics. Each SCP-XX-1 reports that they came to SCP-XX while attempting to escape various authorities. The current population of SCP-XX is 34.
Upon approach to SCP-XX, marine wildlife will become extremely aggressive, culminating in the appearance of SCP-XX-2. SCP-XX-2 is an exceptionally large whale-like organism similar to Rhincodon typus. It is estimated to be 130 meters long, and moves at speeds approaching 100 kph. Once alerted, SCP-XX-2 will pursue and attempt to destroy any naval vessel between 1300 m and 400 m of SCP-XX. Instances of SCP-XX-1 indicate that SCP-XX-2 also takes a humanoid form and participates in the governance of SCP-XX, though SCP-XX-2 has never been observed in humanoid form. as well as defense of the anomaly against what it perceives as a threat. SCP-XX-2 is responsible for the destruction of STF Omega-2. (See Addendum XX-B) In its humanoid form, SCP-XX-2 shares radiological features and capabilities with SCP-[DATA EXPUNGED], and resembles SCP-XX-1-[REDACTED]
SCP-XX is governed by a system of social anarchy; It has no codified laws beyond a law of reciprocal action4. This system is loosely enforced by SCP-XX-2.
