Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Anomalous object cannot be relocated and therefore is contained on site. SCP-XXXX is to be contained in at least a 3.1 x 3.2 x 3 m3 box plated with a steel alloy. At least one (1) guard should be stationed to patrol the area, and Private Property signs are to be in place to avoid unwanted contact with the public. Additional expansions may be constructed if a request for such is approved by at least two (2) foundation personnel with Level-3 Clearance or higher. Containment zone is kept at a comfortable light level and may fluctuate as needed for closer observations.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a single, spherical particle suspended in midair by unknown forces, theorized to be caused by some form of gravitational or magnetic pull. It is silver in color and gives off a dull glow measured to be 5 lumens. It hovers exactly 1.4 meters off the ground and has a diameter of 11.3 millimeters.
When any item, organic or otherwise, comes into contact with SCP-XXXX, it appears to completely disregard physical laws and will penetrate through the contacting entity with the force of a bullet. In every test made thus far, this has left the subject with a perfectly round crevice where SCP-XXXX entered and exited. The item's durability does not affect the anomaly's ability to move through it.
The particle's makeup does not match that of any element present on the Periodic Table. It appears to emit alpha radiation every so often. Recent tests suggest that the element has similarities to the noble gas elements, being nonreactive to all elements.
Matter that is perceived to be deconstructed by SCP-XXXX does not leave any traces and is theorized to be absorbed into the SCP itself.
Addendum-01: Dr. ██████ Experimentation Log ██ weeks after initial containment. Personnel were instructed to expose subjects to SCP-XXXX through contact.
Subject: Standard 38 x 89 mm. plank of Lumber
Result: First recorded observation of the object's destructive tendencies. Lumber passed right through the particle, with the specimen leaving behind a round crevice.
Subject: D-Class (D-██████) was instructed to directly touch SCP-XXXX with palm of hand.
Result: Subject felt immense pain and claimed it felt like a bullet shot through him. Round crevice present.
Subject: 12 x 12 cm Sheet of Reinforced Iron
Result: Particle penetrated the iron effortlessly and left behind it's round crevice.
Subject: 32 x 21 cm Pane of Bulletproof Glass
Result: Rather than shattering at exposure, the glass remained intact except for the point of insertion.
