Object class: Safe
Containment procedures: SCP-3189 is to be kept in AFO Site 03, Albany New York. Use of SCP-3189 by foundation personnel has been approved. Personnel Class B and above may apply for access to SCP-3189 pending O5 Council approval. Authorized use of SCP-3189 should be limited to only the most urgent situations in order to avoid congestion. Unauthorized use of SCP-3189, although unlikely, is grounds for execution pending official review. Site staff are to maintain SCP-3189 in full working order. SCP-3189 is to be guarded at all times. No unapproved personnel are to enter or operate SCP at any time, except in the case of routine maintenance or cleaning. Under no circumstances should non-foundation personnel use SCP-3189 without Foundation accompaniment. SCP-3189 requires no additional containment measures.
Description: SCP-3189 presents as a Tupolev Tu-154 class Soviet era aircraft dating from approximately 1972. The shape and outward appearance of SCP-3189 are not distinguished from other Tupolev Tu-154 designation craft currently in service. That said, SCP-3189 is of an unknown and unduplicated variant. The nomenclature, “Tu-191”, appears multiple places throughout the aircraft, which would suggest this to be its model number. There are currently no such craft in existence, both in production and concept, according to the Tupolev Corporation, as well as the Tupolev Design Bureau official record. There is no information as to the origin point or creator of the craft anywhere throughout the interior. The Russian government is confirmed to have no knowledge of the SCP-3189 or its anomalous properties.
The interior of SCP-3189 has been fitted for VIP travel. Unlike the commuter passenger variant capable of carrying 180 passengers, SCP-3189 has chairs capable of seating 25. The rest of the space is filled with other luxury accommodations that may be found in a lounge, including a full bar, pool table, and gas fireplace. SCP-3189 is stylized in standard 1970’s era design (wood paneling, white shag carpet, etc.), however, shows no signs of aging or wear.
SCP-3189 displays several reality bending traits which are completely confined to the cabin. There are four humanoid entities who appear within the craft.
One Pilot SCP-3189-1
One Copilot SCP-3189-2
One Stewardess SCP-3189-3
One Bartender SCP-3189-4
All four of these individuals have never been observed to leave the craft or perform any bodily functions of any kind. They present as human in all ways, even in remembering past passengers. They have been recorded as able to converse fluently in over ten languages. They are able to instantly determine a person’s language of preference and address them in it without prompting. This is done by unknown means. Additionally, if a person has a drink of preference the bartender will make it, also without prompting. Additionally, on entering the cabin, the pilot and co pilot will immediately begin preparation for the desired trip. It has been observed that a passenger can complete a trip via SCP without saying a single word. The crew within SCP-3189 are highly conversational when engaged. When disengaged or dismissed, entities retract themselves without perceivable offence.
All said entities are completely tangible and exhibit mass consistent with normal human beings. They are also not believed to be robotic, due to their beguiling charm. None of them have ever been seen to sleep, eat, or evacuate. They do drink, smoke, and talk in a manner completely indistinguishable from a normal human being. Entities can even get noticeably drunk.
Passengers describe travel on SCP-3189 to be incredibly enjoyable. The 4 entities onboard the craft show memory of past interactions as well as empathy for the passenger. Many passengers have found themselves growing fond of SCP-3189-1-4 as though they were old friends, resulting in abuse of privileges and revocation of clearance.
All entities are friendly and accommodating of any passenger request. SCP-3189-3-4 have been shown to engage in flirtation with passengers upon prompting, however remain professional unless approached.
All observed behaviors are indistinguishable from human and have passed the Turing test by many D-class personnel. Unobserved behaviors are unknown, and all attempts to observe SCP-3189-1-4 without passenger’s present have been unsuccessful. All of the aircraft windows are made of an unknown substance and appear completely black from the outside, while remaining perfectly opaque from inside. The rest of the hull of the aircraft appears to be lined in the same material and there is no known imaging technology capable of viewing into the interior of the craft. All listening devices and cameras left in the craft have been lost and have remained unrecovered presumably indefinitely following alpha event. There is no known information regarding the non-operational behavior of SCP-3189-1-4 for this reason.
An alpha event can be triggered in 2 ways. The first is presumed to be when the craft door opens. The stewardess opens the door and smiles beside it, either to welcome the passenger(s) or to see them off. The bartender is behind the bar in the same fashion, and the pilots are in the cockpit. No matter what damage was done to the interior of the cabin, the crew, or the passenger(s) belongings, it will all be expunged following an alpha event. The second is when the passenger loses consciousness. This can happen several ways. The most common is by alcohol consumption. 97% of passengers aboard SCP-3189 drink to the point of loss of consciousness. The crew (and occasionally pilots) are often encouraging of drinking and participate along with the passenger(s). 3% have lost consciousness either naturally or via SCP-3189-4. SCP-3189-4 is large and appears well trained in martial arts. If at any point violence is attempted towards the other crew or the integrity of the craft, SCP-3189-4 will attack and subdue the passenger (s-number or training of assailants seems to have no impact). SCP-4 exhibits super human strength and military grade training. All testing in this regard has been suspended. This occurs extremely rarely, and never without significant instigation. The atmosphere and charisma of the crew onboard usually diffuses any intention of malice on immediate contact. The only D-class capable of performing tasks ordered to them were picked due to their extremely low empathic sensitivity scores, well within the psychopathic range. When the passenger awakes all tears and spills on the upholstery will be nonexistent. Passengers have described waking up feeling well rested and without hangover or injury in 100% of cases. The crew appear as they do at the beginning of the alpha event, no matter how much alcohol ingested or damage sustained prior. There have been no instances of a flight on SCP-3189 that did not begin and end with an alpha event. Avoiding loss of consciousness via stimulants and refraining from alcohol will postpone alpha event and extend flight time indefinitely. The longest recorded perceived flight time onboard SCP-3189 was approximately 72 hours.
It is theorized that SCP-3189 possesses limited reality bending characteristics. The first of which is its ability to reset the cabin and crew to initial baseline status given an alpha event. The second is its ability to travel by unknown and extraordinary means.
While onboard, passengers have described a wide range of flight times. Some have described long drawn out conversations they had with the crew, and some have said they hardly even had one drink before they arrived at their destination. One thing that remains constant is the actual flight time of SCP-3189. Every single flight of SCP-3189 takes no longer than 45 minutes. SCP-3189 never appears on radar of any kind, presumably due to it lining material. That said, when viewed with the naked eye or escort aircraft, SCP-3189 disappears from sight as soon as it reaches its cruising altitude. Testing and continued use has shown that it immediately reappears beginning its decent into the desired location.
There been very few break throughs in the study of SCP-3189. Nothing is known of how it operates, who made it, or for what purpose. Its Russian design would suggest Soviet manufacturing but nothing other than the body model ties it to Russia. The crew members and of SCP-3189 have been shown to have some telepathic abilities but is thought that these are limited to need fulfillment. This at first raised concerns as to personnel using SCP-3189. After much deliberation and debate, the conclusion the research team came to was that SCP-3189 was designed for VIP travel for the super elite of what ever reality or timeline it may be from. As such, it is designed with discretion in mind, hence the resetting of the cabin after each use. It appears to be simply an extremely useful anomalous luxury aircraft and has therefore been sanctioned for official Foundation use. Currently there have been no information breaches as a result of SCP-3189’s telepathic abilities in use on high ranking Foundation members. Observations are ongoing.
Addendum: An additional anomalous effect of SCP-3189 has been observed. Dr. Quovorquin was the first to discover this additional effect while on a diplomatic mission with a representative from the global occult ring, Robert mildrew. Flying out of Albany, arriving in London, and returning with Robert mildrew to Albany was the initial objective. While travelling with Mr. Mildrew back to Albany, the additional effect was observed.
SCP-1-4 have always been professional and accommodating of foundation personnel. They have never been seen to pry for information on foundation activities and seem to understand that there is a need for discretion. However, when introduced to the representative from the Global Occult, there demeanor changed. The behavior of the crew on board, as observed through subsequent tests, mimics that of extremely well trained and experienced covert operatives. SCP-3 and SCP-4 are both extremely attractive mid 20’s female and male respectively. Depending on the individual, their sexual preferences, and their individual weakness’s, the two of them are able to extract information in very little time. Due to the time altering effects of SCP, information divulging events can be extensive. In the initial event, Robert Mildrew, revealed extremely sensitive occult information, including the location of now contained object SCP-2222, SCP-3333, and SCP-4444. Subject awoke following the alpha event with no recollection of his indiscretion. On exiting SCP, Dr. Quovorquin was handed a small device of unknown make or purpose by SCP-3. It was brought to the on-site research team and was quickly discovered to be a storage device of unknown kind. When read, it contained a 17 hour long video from inside the aircraft the video showed every said by Mr. Mildrew. This was the first ever recording obtained from the aircraft. The file appeared to be from SCP-3’s POV, recorded through unknown means. Since this initial event, other POVS have been included on the device given on exit following other events. This is usually limited to SCP-3 and SCP-4. On rare occasion, SCP-1 or SCP-2 have been included. Inclusion seems to be determined based on whether the footage captures secret information.
Following this discovery, this new function has been put into use in several other instances yielding vital information to Foundation efforts. Authorization for use is currently under review and requests are being prioritized due to an increased demand. All bookings must be scheduled 24 hours in advance, except in case of O5 council approval.
The purpose of SCP is now known to be an intelligence gathering tool. However, the agency of creation is still unknown. Leading theories suggest that it was a intelligence gathering tool developed in an alternate timeline, by a corollary political entity to our former Soviet Union. Due to its reality altering properties, its theorized that it arrived in our timeline due to malfunction, or more likely another as yet unknown annomolous device. Although SCP was clearly created for intelligence gathering purpose by an unknown agency, it appears to be loyal to whatever group is currently in possession. SCP has become an integral part of foundation diplomatic efforts following these developments. That said, researchers are to stay extremely vigilant for any changes in behavior, and any leak of confidential Foundation information on any platform. As of 00/00/2000, there have been zero confidentiality breaches.
Note: When SCP-1 or SCP-2 are included as part of the hard drive, their files are usually significantly shorter. This is due to there being no inclusion of the cockpit in the footage. There are to this day no visual depictions of the cockpit of SCP. When SCP-1 or SCP-2 go to enter the cockpit, at the moment the door begins to open the footage is seen to cut to the door being closed and them exiting the cockpit. If they do not exit again for the rest of the flight, the footage ends as the door begins to open.
