Special Containment Procedures:

MTF Eta-13 is to monitor for a signal from SCP-XXXX's tracker and immediately respond upon it's detection. Eta-13 is to render assistance to SCP-XXXX to the best of their ability. Members are to be trained in pantomime communication to assist in coordinating activity with SCP-XXXX. Under no circumstances is any aggressive action to be taken against SCP-XXXX or those it is protecting.

Description:

SCP-XXXX appears to be an ordinary brown stuffed teddy bear, of early 20th century construction and materials, with the name "Roosevelt" stitched into the spine. When inactive, it is indistinguishable from any other teddy bear of similar production, except that it is in perfect condition despite it's age, and seems to be resistant to staining and other damage.

This bear come into the possession of a young child at random intervals, either simply appearing in their possession with no explanation, or manifesting in a store to be bought by a person who has cause to give it to the child. The child will always become unusually attached to SCP-XXXX, keeping it with them as much as possible. SCP-XXXX will remain with each child until an event occurs.

At some point (varying from days to as long as 2 years), the child and possibly those near them will come under attack, usually by another SCP (either physically or congitohazardously), but there have also been incidents involving non-anomalous but lethal threats. At this time, SCP-XXXX will become active. The child and those around them who are also under threat, regardless of relation, will immediately lose consciousness (this has been shown to happen so quickly as to prevent any person so rendered unconscious from suffering the effects of cognitohazardous SCPs, regales of how quickly they would normally act). Threats will not be effected.

SCP-XXXX will then grow proportionally to at least 2 meters in height, but will grow larger if if the threatening entity is of larger size. In this state, it is animate, extremely damage resistant (capable of withstanding impact force sufficient to shatter reinforced concrete and resistant to piercing force that would be sufficient to breach an M1 tank). If it is damaged, it self repairs, appearing to "knit itself" back together or spring back to shape. It possess significant physical strength; It has been observed lifting a semi truck with attached trailer, one handed and using this to beat on a opposing SCP. It will sometimes generate weapons; these are proportional to itself and are either taken from children's toys (a popular source of weapons were GI Joe and Transformers figures) or appear to be articles handmaid by a child. For example, it once manifested a 'long sword' apparently made of crossed tongue depressors glued together; despite appearances, this was razor sharp, capable of cleanly cutting through stone, and had an equally sharp tip, despite appearing rounded off. In another case, the back mounted missile pack from a Cobra show trooper was manifested. If the child currently in possession of SCP-XXXX had make an object for it to hold, this object will always be used by SCP-XXXX, even if nominally not a weapon. One girl made SCP-XXXX a felt dress; it utilized this as a dueling cloak.

SCP-XXXX will engage the threat in whatever manner it can, acting to protect all unconscious humans in the vicinity. It will not stop until either the threat has been neutralized (either by destroying, incapacitating, or otherwise rendering the aggressor unable o harm it's charges). Once it's charges are safe or it has failed to protect them, it will vanish and all individuals will regain consciousness if able. Any damage to the surroundings caused by the fight between SCPs will remain, as will any victims. SCP-XXX will then repeat the cycle, appearing in it's inactive state anywhere in the world, wither immediately or after a random period of time.

Addendum - Initial Contact:
SCP-XXXX was discovered fighting off an instance of SCP-939 (incident 939-33) in █████, ███, USA. Containment teams arrived on site to find SCP-XXXX engaged in a pitched battle with SCP-939-33 to protect a family of four. Agents arrived on scene to discover the area around the unconscious family heavily damaged, with SCP-XXXX utilizing an enlarged Q-tip as a bo staff to block wrestle with 939-33. Team engaged 939-33 as priority target, and were able to kill it while XXXX held it down. Team then turned to SCP-XXXX, which manifested an early 20 century Panama hat and proceeded to tip the hat to the team, before vanishing. Family had no knowledge of and never saw 939-33, and was shocked by the state of their back yard and by the sudden appearance of the heavily armed team. 5 years old child was upset he couldn't find his teddy, tentatively identified as SCP-XXXX. Yard was repaired and family amensticized.

Addendum - Summary of pertinent incidents:

Incident Summary
XXXX-3 Defended an elementary school from a mass shooting by crushing the perpetrator with a lunch table. No casualties among students or staff.
XXXX-8 A family camping in █████, Russia was defended from an containment breach by SCP-610. SCP-XXXX manifested a 'bazooka' make from a silver painted toilet paper roll. No infection detected. Containment perimeter reinforced.
XXXX-10 Terrorist attack on a market in █████, █████. SCP-XXXX moves to attack suicide bomber after rendering all others in market unconscious. Bomber is able to trigger their explosive before SCP-XXXX can reach them. Mass casualty event. SCP-XXXX is thrown clear by blast. Security footage recovered shows SCP-XXXX appearing to cry before it vanishes.
XXXX-13 MTF eta-13 and Epsilon-9 deployed to incident where SCP-307 was found in the wild. Persons within a large park all rendered unconscious. SCP-XXXX was attacking 307 with a plastic 'flamethrower', apparently from a GI Joe toy in the vicinity. Eta-13 encircled both SCPs and tried to disarm SCP-XXXX, while Epsilon-9 focused one SCP-307. SCP-XXXX attacked Eta-13 member that impeded it progress, while trying to work with Epsilon-9 to destroy 307. 2 Eta-13 members killed after being thrown into trees while trying to get the flame thrower away from it. Once SCP-307 had been successfully destroyed, tuned to remaining Eta-13 members and made an arms up gesture ("as if asking us what the idea was") and vanished.
Following XXXX-13, Eta-13 was tasked with observation of SCP-XXXX only, as it showed no aggression when not impeded and was acting a protective manner. Proposal to change class to Thaumiel.
XXXX-16 Eta-13 authorized to attempt communication. SCP-XXXX restrained an instance of SCP-1788 that was tracking a bus of children (it is unknown if the child in possession of SCP-XXXX in dormant state was the target; all persons within rendered unconscious). After several minutes holding it down, agents approached with restraints, and SCP-XXXX allowed them to capture the instance. It manifested it's hat, but before it could vanish, agents indicated they wished to talk. SCP-XXXX paused, and agents held out a tracking device to it, saying they wished to be able to find it to help. SCP-XXXX put one arm to it's chin in a thinking gesture, then held out an arm, paw surface up. Agents placed the tracker there, then it ripped open it's chest a little and put it inside; the wound then sealed and it vanished.

Tracker signal has guided MTF Eta-13 (Toy Men) to SCP-XXXX location in time to assist all known following incidents. Tracker signal only detected just in time for ETA-13 to arrive on site as incident occurs; it is unknown how SCP-XXXX always knows MTF Eta-13s exact deployment time to incident location. Tracker has not shown any sign of running out of power, despite battery lifetime having been exceeded. Reclassified to Archon.

Addendum XXXX-1048: In response to behavior of SCP-1048, MTF Eta-13 has been issued the added task of observing all persons having had contact with SCP-XXXX for signs of any similar 'trojan horse' behavior by SCP-XXXX. Provision is made for immediate redesignation to Keter if such is observed.
