Item #: PLACEHOLDER (SCP-PLHO)
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-PLHO is to be held in a secure standard human habitat at Site-81A outside Bloomington, IN until further research into its anomalous properties has been made. The habitat in question must have at least one wall consisting of steel bars or ventilated lexan glass to allow flying and continuous inspection of SCP-PLHO.
It is to be fed three times a day, at 8 AM, 12 AM and 6 PM local time (GMT-4). Meals are to be prepared by the personnel cafeteria staff under inspection of one (1) level-2 security employee. Any utensils provided with meals are to be accounted for by said security personnel. Cleaning of habitat (i.e. vacuum cleaning, wiping of surfaces and emptying of trash container) is to be done in conjunction to weekly inspections.
SCP-PLHO is to be clothed in an orange ripstop jumpsuit with "SCP-PLHO" in bold black print on left chest pocket and over entire back in order to obstruct eventual evasion of Sweep-and-Clear teams in case of containment breach. This garment is to be provided to it along with undergarments (i.e. white t-shirt, white boxer shorts and white socks á seven (7) sets) weekly following inspection and cleaning.
Inspection of SCP-PLHO habitat is to be made weekly by any combination of at least one (1) level-2 security employee with standardized less-lethal equipment and two (2) unarmed D-class human resources with trustee status. Before habitat inspection and cleaning SCP-PLHO is to be secured by handcuffs and leg irons to the aforementioned steel bars or any dedicated anchor point in the habitat ventilated lexan wall before entry into it to be attempted. Any attempts from SCP-PLHO to communicate with inspection/cleaning crew is to be ignored on pain of reprimands.
Main purpose of inspection is to secure any contraband or means of communication with non-authorized entities. This inspection regimen may be subject for change as further knowledge of SCP-PLHO's anomalous properties are gained
SCP-PLHO is forbidden access to the internet or any other media outlet. Any attempts by SCP-PLHO to communicate with entities outside Site-81A is to be halted It may request access to any non-interactive media. These requests are to be approved or denied by Dr. Lauren D████████ at her disclosure.
Description: PLACEHOLDER is an apparently human caucasian cis-gender male by the registered name ”John Smith” born on 03/03/93, formerly known as ”John Christmas”.
It spends its days consuming media provided by the foundation when not undergoing testing.
Background: It was born on March 3, 1993 by a human woman named Mary Christmas in North Shawnee, IN, USA. Father is supposedly James Fitzgerald Christmas III, the de facto leader of the Anababtist Mennonite Congregation of North Shawnee.
The birth took place in the family home and was quick and uneventful according to eye witness testimony by relatives as per the report from ICPS (██/██/95).
Mother's background and current location is unknown. SCP investigators hypothezise she was a runaway from out west, and having served her purpose have been isolated, hidden or even terminated by the family, community or congregation.
Father has eluded investigation because of the closed nature of the community. Undercover operations have only resulted in the disapperance of field agent J. Donovan. All information have be extrapolated from vital records.
SCP-PLHO was home schooled, as were its siblings (two older brothers). This has been family tradition for at least the past three generations. its both uncles and his father were taught by his grandfather and two granduncles. Genealogy suggests that SCP-PLHO is the third son of a third son of a third son.
SCP-PLHO left the family, community and congregation sometime in 2013 an appears in government databases around the same time. On the 14th of August 2017 "john Smith" is arrested and processed by state police. The I10 webcrawler matches thru pattern recognition similarities between SCP-PLHO's mugshot, SCP-PLHO-04 and "End of Days".
Current conclusion: Genealogic factors, together with the numerological significance of its date and time of birth, on top of the extraterrestrial discs crossbred with the Sagitarius signal gives the impression of paranormal or even supernatural circumstances. Suggested K-meter for a hypothetical scenario like this would be in 300 to 500 mHu range. Researchers cannot be certain if this is true or a construct of the Anababtist Mennonite Congregation for whatever reason. Either way, the normalcy (1k mHu) reading of SCP-PLHO and the fact that testing has not provided any insight to, or even evidence of, anomalous properties is highly irregular and worring. Further containment and testing is advised.
Addendum I: PLACEHOLDER-01 to -03; Background; Redirected from SCP-████
Item #: SCP-PLHO-01, SCP-PLHO-02 (formerly designated SCP-████) & SCP-PLHO-03
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-PLHO-01 is to be stored in a secure container at Site-81A, at the convenience of Dr. Lauren D████████
Description: SCP-PLHO-01 to -03 are three metal discs with a diameter of 25,8 cm and thickness of 2,58 cm. Spectrograph analysis reveals that it is made from a titanium-alloy. K-counter readings shows no reality-warping properties (1k mHu). Both sides of the discs are smooth without markings, but a series of bumps and ridges can be found along the circumferences of the discs. SCP-PLHO-01 to -03 are identical except for the series and sequence of these bumps and ridges.
SCP-PLHO-01 was found by Captain Ivan S███████████ in ██/██/08 while leading the imperial Russian army expedition to investigate an event in eastern Siberia. This incident has been explained as an air burst of a meteor that laid waste to 2.000 square kilometers of pine forest. An impact crater were never found, but at its calculated epicenter SCP-PLHO-01 was found, still warm to the touch. No official army records of this expedition have been found.
SCP-PLHO-02 was retrieved by MTF Delta-5 deep cover operatives within the USAF in R██████, NM July 1947. It was given the now defunct designation SCP-████ and moved to Site-██ for analysis. In ██/██/67 it was relocated to Site-██ and given its current designation.
SCP-PLHO-03 was retrieved by GRU-P agents about 100 kilometers east of Stalingrad in 1947. The circumstances around this GRU-P operation is as of this date unknown.
SCP-PLHO-01 & -03 came into the Foundations care via operation "Discobolos" in ██/██/67, which resulted in the loss of Foundation assets in GRU-P
Addendum II: PLACEHOLDER-04
Item #: SCP-PLHO-04
Artists rendition of SCP-PLHO-04
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-PLHO-04 is to be stored in a airtight, secure container at Site-81A, at the convenience of Dr. Lauren D████████
Description: SCP-PLHO-04 is a sheet of A3 format paper containing the plotter print-out of a 258x258 pixel image. The material i warped and miscolored by heat exposure. It is the only copy of the output of the Sagitarius signal filtered through the DCS (Disc Circumference Sequence). This software execution is never to to be repeated by order of the O5 council.
Backgrund: Following the success if operation "Discobolos", the bumps and ridges found along the circumferance of SCP-PLHO-01 to -03 were scanned and digitalized in ██/██/67 at Site-██ and were saved as the "Disc Cicumferance Sequence" but the following investegation, cross-referencing and analysis did not lead to any progress in understanding the would-be anomalous properties of the discs.
In 8/15/77 the Big Ear SETI-antenna receives a burst of high-energy radiowaves forming a 72 seconds signal. The signal seems to originate from the Sagitarius constellation and is unknown in origin. SCP agents undercover in SETI device a cover story about the signal coming from earth and bouncing of space debris because of the Kessler syndrome.
After noticing similar patterns in the two, Dr. Lauren D████████ requests funding for a project were the Sagitarius narrowband signal is compared and amalgamated with the DCS. This project takes place at Site-██ with the on-site Cray supercomputer.
The software operation outputs a 258x258 pixel image, but while the plotter printer is working the Cray supercomputer crashes and several processing units catches fire. During the ensuing efforts by foundation personnel to put out the fire, Dr. Lauren D████████ manages to secure the printout, which is promptly designated SCP-PLHO-04.
Subsequent attempts to photograph SCP-PLHO-04 results in grey smears over the photo paper, so an artists rendition of SCP-PLHO-04 is made for posterity. Seemingly no cause for the unablility to photograph SCP-PLHO-04 is found. Despite investigations of, and revisions to, the on-site dark room process and routines.
Addendum III: "End of Days" by D. Carrajando (oil on canvas -78)
“End of days” D.C. (oil on canvas, 1978)
From the diary of Diego Carrajando (04/10/37 - 03/03/03) translated from Spanish;
8/15/77 This might be my big break, finally the muse have kissed the lips of this retched artist and given me a true spark of divine inspiration, I must not dally, a herculean task awaits me
9/10/77 What I assumed to be a blessing has revealed itself as a curse on my very soul. Why have I been handed the very trumpet to becon the end of days? What have I done to deserve the role as the harbinger of his kingdom come?
1/15/78 I refuse to finish it, do with me what you will, o cruel fate
1/16/78 Should the clay say to maker, what makest thou? Thy will be done, Thy kingdom come.
The original diary is secured at Site-81A, at the convenience of Dr. Lauren D████████ and may be requested for study.
The remains of D. Carrajando was found on 03/03/03 by his widow in his studio in rural Andalucia. The painting is discovered by representatives of a local Grenada gallery and showcased as part of an exhibition in honor of the artist. In 2003 The beta version of webcrawler Iota 10 found the “End of days” painting posted on the website of a Grenadan auctionhouse and red-flagged it for agents.
The painting was purchased for 400 euro and shipped to what would be Site-81A by order of Dr. Lauren D████████. Overseas shipping were overseen by MTF Alpha-4 from Grenada, Spain to Evansville airport, IN, USA and was escorted to Site-81A by a local security task force in plain clothes.
Addendum IV:
ISP processing photo of "John Smith" 03/03/17
On the 8/14/2017 Mobile Task Force Iota-10 found, through its webcrawler software, the mugshot of "John Smith" on mugshots.com. It had been taken by Indiana State Police and the embedded assets were immediately activated. MTF I10, squad XIX (specialized in seize-&-capture operations) were deployed to secure "John Smith" and it was given the designation SCP-PLHO. Procurement was made during prisoner transport performed by ISP Trooper D. Mcnameson who were administered a low-yield amnestic. Assets in ISP had ensured that the transport would be undertaken by only one trooper, by staging a violent interaction with shots fired. The operation was mocked-up to appear as a traffic accident with fatal outcome for the target. "John Smith" was pronouced dead at the scene by the county coroner. Remains of the replacement were disposed of as by protocol.
