Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in standard humanoid light containment in Site-33. No contact without Level-4 clearance is allowed and if anyone makes contact they are to be detained.
Interviews with SCP-XXXX are to be done in two-hour intervals when his hat is taken off, or noise-canceling headphones are to be worn.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sapient humanoid entity, 26 years old, measuring an average height of 1.73 meters. SCP-XXXX anomalous properties stem from a hat, that seems to be biologically attached to the head of SCP-XXXX.
The hat is a standard appearing top hat, with a thin red stripe bordering the rim. SCP-XXXX seems to be capable of taking the top hat off, but when not willing to take it off, it seems to attach itself to its head through what has been described as a fusing.
SCP-XXXX periodically takes off it's hat, on two-hour intervals when it's anomalous properties are not in use and thirty-minute intervals after use of the hat. The thirty-minute intervals last until two hours go by, where it shifts back to it's normal two-hour intervals. Directly after initial use, the entity takes off the hat in ten minutes, putting it back on after another thirty. It is currently unknown why this happens.
The hat measures at 17 cm tall, and with the rim having a circumference of 20 cm. When wearing the hat, SCP-XXXX develops manipulative abilities and is capable of convincing people to do nearly anything through the means of verbal communication, however, this effect is only sustained for as long as SCP-XXXX wears it's hat.
Currently, the orders given by SCP-XXXX have included the following:
- Leave.
- Ask them to give me a glass of water.
- Do a dance.
When separated from the hat, the hat is able to dissipate itself on a molecular level. The hat then begins to grow out of SCP-XXXX's head, sprouting from a biologically produced plastic. The plastic produces neurological signals, which is assumed how it's anomalous traits are obtained.
