Bloodline Chronicles
Chapter 1: On the Streets
The half moon shone brightly on the thick blanket of clouds covering the surface of the Earth. Above the cloud layer, every line stood out boldly in the clear moonlight.
Under the cloud layer, darkness reigned. Voices whispered and muttered from places hidden in the fog. Mist shrouded every rundown building, pouring out of shadowy alleys to infiltrate the streets. Dark shapes lumbered in the lightless corners, watching for prey. It was a world of darkness, unforgiving and unloving.
A boy peered around a corner, scanning for movement. He was about 12, and was clutching a little league baseball bat, anxiously looking over his shoulder to see if he was being followed.
Locking his sight on a dim streetlight a block away, the boy brushed his tangled brown hair to the side. He gripped his bat as he edged alongside a
Skyler laid back on his bed. It was late, around midnight, and he was tired.
He lived mostly alone, with his own set of rooms in a dorm that cost more than his parent's old apartments, back when he still lived with them. Normally, he'd never have been able to afford college, let alone living on campus in his freshman year, but his deal with Damon had given him a chance at a future that he'd never thought he'd have.
He and Damon had a…well…interesting relationship.
Skyler got a full ride payment to his university of choice, one hundred percent free.
But…
In exchange for it, the teen had a gay-ass 50 shades of BDSM shit once a month. The last weekend of every month, he'd fly back home to Damon's, where he'd plunge into three parts pain, three parts pleasure orgy; his captor's whims ranged from quickies to fucked inside out while lashed to a bed, but Damon always had some new ecstasy or torture waiting for his victim.
Skyler ran a hand through his platinum streaked hair; he could have whatever color he wanted, as long as it was dyed white blonde again by the time he returned to Damon. Even after a week since his last visit, the teen's neck was still tender from a dozen brutal hickies Damon had left him with during one of his more…aggressive…sessions. The bruises were so deep he'd had to wear his collar high to hide the marks from other students—-yet another way Damon had marked him as his.
He settled back, head on his pillow, staring up at the ceiling and
Skyler heard an odd, sliding sound. It took him a moment to realize it was his window.
Unlocking itself.

Terrace grinned, dropping onto the human's bed and pinning him down, lithely positioning himself where he could trance his prey if it struggled.
But the human didn't move, except to flinch as Terrace landed on him. In the darkness, the vampire could see their eyes; there was some fear, yes, but the stare fixed on him was more full of fascination than anything.
"Are…are you a vampire?"
Terrace grinned and flashed his fangs.
"Whaddya think?"
With strength he hadn't thought possible, the human flipped the vampire under him, rolling on top and pressing his slender body against Terrace.
The vampire tensed, ready to tear his prey's throat out if they attacked, but the human only murmured into his ear.
"You want blood? It's yours. Take it. Eat me, fuck me, but on one condition; you have to take me with you."
For a few seconds the only sound was the human's nervous breathing, then they bent back down to whisper again.
"Deal?"
Before Terrace could react, the human had rolled over again, putting the vampire back on top and baring his neck to the vampire's gaze.
Terrace could hear the blood racing through the human's veins, could feel his nervousness, his barely suppressed tension, and his…anticipation.
This was…unusual…to say the least; humans typically did not have a speech prepared when he dropped in on them. In any case, what the prey wanted was hardly a concern of Terrace's. True, this human was rather attractive, but currently he was out for a meal, not a date.
He shrugged, gripping the human by the hair with his right hand and dragging t
"Are you sure you want to do this?"

Damon leaned over the struggling vampire, checking the straps and chains that held his prey down.
He kept his slim form pressed against their trembling body, tightening a buckle here, tugging a chain there.
Terrace tried to reach out to the human's mind, probing the dark, spiny wall that was his captor's consciousness. The vampire mustered his strength and tried to enforce his will, but he was still drained and burned by the searing UV lights from earlier.
As soon as he started the linking, his captor stiffened.
Terrace's face erupted into pain as Damon struck him with the palm of his hand, snapping his mental hold and jerking his head to the side as he cried out in pain. The pale human grabbed a fistful of his dirty blonde hair and hauled his head up to face him.
The vampire groaned weakly, summoning the last of his defiance and, half-glared, half-pleaded.
"Unlock me. Let me go."
Damon grinned, his cold leer revealing a silver key gripped between his teeth. Hope flared in Terrace, and he strained forward as if to take the key, though his arms were securely lashed to the bed.
Damon kept smiling, speaking with his teeth clenched to keep the key from falling.
"You want this?"
Terrace nodded pathetically, sensing something was different, that he might be released.
The key disappeared into the humans mouth, and he made a show of swallowing it, grinning wide to show it was gone down his throat.
Terrace's psyche struggled between anger and despair as he snarl-whimpered.
"You bastard," he croaked.
Damon released his hair, cradling his face instead. The human ran a thin finger along Terrace's cheek to wipe away a tear he hadn't know he'd cried.
"Don't worry," his captor whispered in his ear, "you'll be fine."
There are two primarily non-material methods of defense in my sci-fi universe's warfare.
Note that primary planetary defense consists of space stations, orbital gun platforms, or moon-based facilities/installments. I am discussing normal fleet shielding here, not hyper-specialized capital ships or deviant warships.
A handful of capital ships, primarily the space-versions of aircraft carriers but a few battleships perhaps, have one of two types of magnet-based shielding.
1A:
Basically, huge electro-(or other)magnets cover the outside of a ship in clusters that center around key areas, such as command bridge, hangar entrance, and such.
When active, directed energy projectors are constantly "firing" or "channeling" a stream of a plasma-based current that projects away from the ship, but then is "gripped" by the magnets and curved into a contact lens or umbrella shape over a portion of the ship's exterior, with the initial stream resembling the handle of the umbrella.
When active, the plasma umbrella will detonate or outright vaporize solid projectiles that try to pass through it. The shield is stronger at the center of the shape due to the constant feed of the initial stream being there.
1B:
The second shielding is more standardized, but all-encompassing. Basically, each ship has a protruding "tower"/formation on each side (port, starboard, top, underbelly, etc.). In the center of these towers is a huge shaft where an incredibly powerful beam is powered through to a series of dishes and crystal like emplacements that disperse the energy in a "plane" or wall that is parallel to the side of the ship.
The energy can be curved to some extent via huge electro-magnets placed on the stern and bow of the ships to afford some protection for the front and back, but the prow and engines remain mostly unshielded and vulnerable, as the energy current would stop or screw up the propulsion.
The upper sections of these towers are not protected by the force-field, as they extend past the barrier, and thus are reinforced, armed with weapon emplacements and flak guns, but still vulnerable. A powerful hit from another capital ship to one of these tower formations would disable the "force-field" on that side.
The prow of almost every ship is basically that of an icebreaker, heavily reinforced and armored, more so than any other part of the ship, to protect against (in war zones) mines or smaller craft/wreckage, or (in normal space) debris of any kind or smaller asteroids/meteors.
The Seven Shards of Beast:
1. WarBeast105: The traditional, talkative gamer type that has been around since the birth of a World of Tanks account by that name in 2013. Annoying and active, WarBeast105 is characterized by never shutting up and reckless lone wolfing that leaves his team behind. Strictly limited to gaming now, WarBeast105 talks little because no one likes him/is sick of his yammering.
2. WarBeast: The more recent incarnation of the now pining away WarBeast105, WarBeast is the online persona that is the part-time dominant role of the seven. A crusader for originality and harshly critical of other people's ideas, he nonetheless can be mature when trying to rein in the other personas when their magnified versions of his flaws are active, occasionally even offering good advice.
3. WarpBeast: One of the darker personas of the group, WarpBeast is currently the dominant of the team, though he often takes a backseat to the combined influence of WarBeast and WhipBeast. WarpBeast types through italics, and, while GaelicBeast communicates with a strong Irish accent, WarpBeast's voice crawls and creeps with eerie sound effects.
4: WhipBeast: The darkest persona, WhipBeast emerges whenever a discussion has the potential to be turned into a talk about sexuality or exploits and methods for pleasure. Called a "sick baysturd" by GaelicBeast, WhipBeast is a hardcore BDSM who rp dominates other users if provoked or talked back to. WarnBeast has stated that he does not approve of how WhipBeast murders the small mental animals that are running around Beast's brain.
5. GaelicBeast: A die-hard Irishman, GaelicBeast doesn't know how to speak quietly, and is often loud and obnoxious. Compared to Aran Ryan by user Abel Cassius, GaelicBeast is just a reskinned jacksepticeye, much like WarpBeast is just a sadistic antisepticeye. Proud of his Irish grandparents, GaelicBeast's accent comes through in his typing when he feels strong emotions.
6. WarnBeast: The only kindly, soft-spoken persona of the group, WarnBeast is the incarnation of the nice side of Beast. He offers support for people who are feeling down, and is both caring and compassionate. Unfortunately, he is picked on by the other personalities and called a softie. He simply nods and takes the insults.
7. WereBeast: [No Data]

And that we had no real authority.
The next time someone is posting spoilers or posting stuff that they are saying are spoilers, we will just let them. Hopefully that will make the mods that be that haven't seen Endgame happy.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:06 PM
there is a report command for a reason
also
WarpBeastToday at 8:07 PM
We wanted to give them a chance to stop before we had to do that.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:07 PM
we have no rule against people who post spoilers
WarpBeastToday at 8:07 PM
Officially no,
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:07 PM
we ask that they put them in media with spoiler tags
WarpBeastToday at 8:07 PM
But it's common courtesy/everyone knows not to do that in general chat.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:08 PM
but we aren't going to mute/ban someone for posting endgame spoilers when we don't do such a thing for any other popular movies/shoes
WarpBeastToday at 8:08 PM
I never said mute or ban them
I never called for any action to be taken.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:08 PM
no but it is not your job to tell people to stop
and you clearly know that
so don't do it
WarpBeastToday at 8:09 PM
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:07 PM
we have no rule against people who post spoilers
It's not anyone's job.
And there's no rule against telling people to please not spoil a huge movie that tons of people are looking forward to and haven't seen yet.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:10 PM
WarpBeastToday at 7:58 PM
@ISAACBEST777 Stop posting spoilers or fake spoilers.
Last warning from a non-mod.
you could have said instead of this^
"please don't put spoilers in the main chat, some of us haven't seen this movie yet"
WarpBeastToday at 8:10 PM
Exactly. I made it clear I was not a mod and had no authority of my own.
My plan was to alert a mod via the proper way if they continued doing it, out of consideration for others.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:11 PM
you wen't about this the wrong way
WarpBeastToday at 8:11 PM
But did I go about this in a way that deserved a muting
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:11 PM
"last warning from a non-mod"
dude
you have no fucking authority to say things like that
that's what i was muting you for
WarpBeastToday at 8:12 PM
I am a non-mod.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:12 PM
"last warning"
WarpBeastToday at 8:12 PM
I was giving them one last warning.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:12 PM
you don't get to say shit like that dude
you can say "if you continue i will contact mods"
WarpBeastToday at 8:13 PM
Perhaps I was too aggressive.
He had literally asked if spoilers were banned and then proceeded to post a spoiler/fake spoiler.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:13 PM
but you're sitting on pretty thin ice with how you've been behaving lately
WarpBeastToday at 8:13 PM
I am?
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:13 PM
yeah
WarpBeastToday at 8:14 PM
I will inquire around to see the validity of that.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:14 PM
you've been constantly posting/saying things that while they may not be explicitly breaking the rules, are certainly borderline
WarpBeastToday at 8:15 PM
So, instead of saying something like "Last warning dude", you simply mute?
I specifically told you I was planning on reporting the dude if he continued to post spoilers/fake spoilers.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:16 PM
your actions indicated that you should know better
WarpBeastToday at 8:17 PM
My actions?
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:17 PM
WarpBeastToday at 7:59 PM
We all know that I would never backseat mod
WarpBeastToday at 8:17 PM
sighs
That is words not an action.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:18 PM
also we have in no way indicated that "joke spoilers" are disallowed
in fact we have been doing nothing about them
WarpBeastToday at 8:18 PM
If you would, for the record, could you list the specific reason(s) I was muted?
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:19 PM
and we have been allowing them in the gatehouse
i already have
WarpBeastToday at 8:19 PM
We have not been "allowing them". You specifically said there was no ruling on them.
Zelda, Horseman of Wisdom (Dal)Today at 8:30 PM
i have said we do not have a rule against it
not that we have no ruling
WarpBeastToday at 8:31 PM
My bad.
Although we do have no ruling.
WarpBeastToday at 8:44 PM
Well, I can't say I've enjoyed this incident.
Have a nice day.
ISAACBEST777Today at 7:57 PM
I assume endgame spoilers are banned?
VenithilToday at 11:12 AM
Warp Beast came back home and engaged in sex stuff with his boyfriendo. The pleasure of doing things the unorthodox, homosexual way helped him come up with something truly original that no one has seen before.
