Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8896 is contained in a 80cm x 80cm x 30cm airtight 4 inch thick glass case which is placed on a metal bench which is bolted down in it’s 4m x 4m x 6m cell. SCP-8896’s cell is checked every four days for any cracks or holes in case of an SCP-8896-2 instance containment breach. Security camera surveillance is used in case a SCP-8896-3 instance has appeared.
Description: SCP-8896 is a 3-inch long necklace. The necklace’s chain is made of an unknown species of spider’s silk which have pendants made of gold threading around the silk. The most noticeable part of SCP-8896 is the gold pendant which resembles a spider, on the pendant’s abdomen is a red jewel which is also warm for an unknown reason.
If SCP-8896 is worn by a human, it will cause the human to immediately regurgitate an instance which resembles a pitch black kidney, the instance is known as SCP-8896-1. After about 30 seconds, SCP-8896-1 will begin to split open revealing another instance which is known as SCP-8896-2.
SCP-8896-2 is black and yellow tarantula which is 6 inches long and 5 inches wide. SCP-8896-2 is extremely hostile and tracks prey by motion, their prey is mainly snakes, birds, rats, lizards, rabbits and even young crocodiles/alligators. SCP-8896-2’s venom causes paralysis, hallucinations, senses of euphoria and even bone decay.
SCP-8896 is able to summon more miniature instances of SCP-8896- 2 which are known as SCP-8896-3. SCP-8896-3 is black and green tarantula which is 3 inches long and is 4 inches wide. SCP-8896-3 are more of a servant to SCP-8896 as they have been seen trying to break the glass case SCP-8896 is locked in.
SCP-8896 was first found in Greece in 1989. An agent had been on vacation when he had found SCP-8896 in his hotel room just thinking someone who came here before him left it there. The agent decided to wear SCP-8896 where he immediately regurgitated SCP-8896-1 which then split open revealing SCP-8896-2. The agent brought SCP-8896 and the instance to the foundation where it had been studied and transported to site-15. SCP-8896 had been given the Euclid class in 1995 but was changed to Safe in 1998 after better containment procedures.

Dr ██████: So could you please tell me what happened in your encounter with SCP-8896.
Agent ███████: I already told you what happened, i went into the room and found the necklace. i then for some reason put on the necklace when it happened.
Dr ██████: well tell me what it felt like.
Agent ███████: th-that was the worst part of the god damn experince. while i was <explicit> vomiting, i saw something in the corner of the room.
Dr ██████: well that's a start, please tell me more. what was the thing in the corner.
Agent ███████: it-it was a woman, she was wearing all this jewellery. gold, ruby and diamond, she was even wearing the <explicit> necklace.
Dr ██████: okay, was their anything distinct about her.
Agent ███████: yeah, she had no eyes, just pitch black sockets with somesort of black slimey liquid flowing out.
Dr ██████: it that it, nothing else
Agent ███████: well she was in a werid pose but other than that there was nothing else very distinct about her
Dr ██████: okay Agent ██████ looks like we are done here, you are now dismissed
