Discovery: In 1987 SCP-XXXX was brought to the foundation’s attention once a subject was an eye witness to an incident concerning a civilian falling victim to the entity. MTF Epsilon-6 was dispatched to the location after a 911 call found its way to notify the MTF Directors. Foundation staff excused the containment of SCP-XXXX to civilians as a routine capturing of an unusually aggressive alligator after a report of an attack. The subject to having witnessed the incident was immediately brought into custody and interrogated by a classified researcher. The eye witness was later found to be Jocelyn Owens part of the staff team for the nearby animal rescue efforts. The following is an interview between the subject and researcher:

[CLASSIFIED]: Hello Jocelyn, my name is [CLASSIFIED] and I’m here to talk about the incident you witnessed today
Jocelyn Owen: *Remains Silent*
[CLASSIFIED]: So, can you walk me through what happened exactly?
Jocelyn Owens: I and a friend were walking through our usual path we take every day when we saw someone pass the ropes into the swamp. We thought he was just another fisher going closer to the water until we saw what he was walking towards. My friend said he had to go, probably not trying to sound like a scaredy-cat
*Subject Laughs*
Jocelyn Owens: I don’t know how he wasn’t frozen in curiosity like me but I just stood there. Watching what he would do. I was thinking maybe wrestle it. But I was scared out my pants once I saw him slide straight down that gators open mouth.
