The subject itself should be laid on the hospital bed and given identical treatment as those who are in a coma. Description:

SCP-####-1 is a 17 year old male who seems to be fully conscious when inspected using [placeholder text that explains why they should be conscious] although does not responding to any outside stimuli. He also appears to be fully immobile, although there are no signs of paralyzation. The subject has not made any attempt to communicate whatsoever.

SCP-####-2 refers to a memetic affect where being nearby to the SCP-####-1 for a long period of time causes them to experience apathy and laziness. The effects are active whether or not the subject is sleeping. The effects and duration vary depending on the time spent with the subject. From here on, subject will refers to those under SCP-####-2's symptoms.

4 hours Subject show flat expression and their voice is monotone. They claim to be bored or tired. 50 min. to 8 hours

Those under the effects of SCP-####-2 can also spread the symptoms, however on a smaller scale. Those who already have non-anamolous depression have their depressions worsen and skip to developing the last stage in 10 to 30 hours, and takes longer for the symptoms to deteriorate.

Addendum 1:

SCP-####-1 was first acquired by the Foundation when his mother, [REDACTED], found that he was lying on his bed and did not get up or move for anything for an entire day. When she concluded it wasn't likely to be regular laziness after shouting for several hours, she called 911. SCP-#### was rushed to the nearest hospital, where undercover Foundation agents first discovered and retrieved the subject under the guise of hospital transfer 2 days later. Although the retrieval was a success, the agents' mental health have appeared to have deteriorated. Personnel originally thought the SCP-#### was a victim of SCP-3###, and was contained in the regular medical bay. It was not until 3 days later when the mistake was realized and containment procedures were updated to its current revision. There were 19 casualties, 2 from suicide and 17 from neglect from medical personnel under SCP-####-2.

Addendum 2:
After having some patients recover from the final stage of SCP-####-2, they report hearing whispers that encourages them to give up. Research into whether these are hallucinations or directly coming from SCP-####-1 is currently undergoing.
