Note: The following are multiple logs taken from the expedition of █████, Dr. █████’s personal logs are available below.
The date is ██/██/████, It’s been ██ days since entry on this island. I have decided to call the island: Inceta-Metaption Island (In-set-ah Meh-teta-shon). Researcher █████ and I have had no luck finding any other lifeforms. Though we found no life we have found evidence of civilization. We found a single cardboard box, around 1m by 1m by 1m. It was sealed with duct tape. I ran back to our makeshift campsite and grabbed a knife. Upon opening the box there was a box the same size as the one it was contained in. We opened up the next box, yet again was another box. We attempted around 14 more times, but it seems as we made no progress. We moved our campsite onto the next “Island”. We ended up finding another box in the same relative space we found the last one. As we explored the “Inner island” we found more evidence of civilization. We found a small mud-brick house. As we opened the door it lead to a stairwell leading downwards. We ventured downwards it opened up to a room. It was the same as the floor above it. We decided not to risk going further as we heard scuttling and growling from the floor below.
This is Dr. [REDACTED] signing off.
[Voice Log Begins]
Researcher █████ : “We can’t just sit in here waiting until daylight!”
Dr. █████ : “Well do you have a better idea? Who knows SCP-███ or SCP- ███ could be out there!”
Researcher █████ : “Well we are running low on rations, so I am going to go down a few levels.”
Dr. █████ : “Are you mad!? You heard what was down there too. Why risk going down?”
Researcher █████ : “Well the only way to find out is by going down there.”
Researcher █████ grabs a Colt .45 and begins to walk towards the stairwell
Dr. █████ : “Fine, go down there but be back in 30 minutes.”
Researcher █████ : “ If I don’t come back in 30 minutes don’t come looking for me.”
Researcher █████ opens the door to the stairwell and makes his descent.
Faint roaring and gunshots are heard in the background
Dr. █████ looks at his watch. It has been an hour since Researcher █████ left.
Faint footsteps are heard from the stairwell.
Researcher █████ : “We need to leave, Now!.”
Dr. █████ : “ What happened to you?”
Dr █████ points at Researcher █████ ‘s cuts and ripped clothing
Researcher █████ : “Whatever it was that attacked me.”
Dr. █████ : “ We can’t just leave you know! This is the only place we have found for miles!”
Researcher █████ : “Fine, but at least let's board up the doorway.”
Faint noises of furniture being moved is heard in the background
Dr. █████ : “Are you sure this will keep whatever it is outside?”
Researcher █████ : “I don’t know, we will just have to see.”
Loud stomping is heard coming up the steps.
A roar is heard in the background.
Banging is heard from the doorway.

72 hours until extraction
I need to keep moving, I can’t stop moving. Researcher █████ is gone. I…I…don’t remember what happened, the memories are all fuzzy. They are just out of reach, it’s like I can’t grasp them. I know they are there, but I can’t remember. AHHHH, The pain! Wait, what happened to my arm?!? It’s ripped up! What happened to me? Think… just think… There it is. I remember. It happened after he came back, It was him who did this to me.
There I was, It happened shortly after Researcher █████ returned. He was covered in cuts and blood. We boarded up the windows and the doorways. Then it came. It was like a creature from your nightmares. There were more footsteps, Followed by even more. There were so many. I shouted at Researcher █████ ,”I thought there was only going to be one! You should’ve told me there was an army of them!.” Researcher █████ responded, “ There was only one when I was down there!, They must have duplicated!.”
And that’s where my memory ends… I decided to set up camp, as far away from there as possible. I finally caught and cooked a bird. It had green and purple feathers, It tasted like burnt celery. I begrudgingly ate it, but you have to make sacrifices to survive in this barren wasteland. Then my Wrist com beeped. It was the MTF unit. “Dr. █████ are you there? If you can hear this make it into the center island in 72 hours. We will stay put for 12 hours, best of luck to you Dr █████ .” spoke the MTF commander.
I had to make it to the center island. I searched my backpack and found my compass. “East it is” I said to myself. This is going to take a while, I thought.
24 hours until extraction
I started heading east, towards the center island. Who knows how far I must go. I better stock up on food and water I thought. I grabbed as many water bottles as I could and went up to a river and filled them. Great, I thought More weight to carry. I ended up leaving the river’s bank after I caught 4 fish about the size of my arm. Oh yeah, my arm. Which is now covered in gashes and cuts. I managed to stop the bleeding with some sort of cloth I found.
Man Imagine how you look, I thought to myself. My hair is matted and knotted, My perfect golden locks! I joked inside my head. My eyes were green until I had a run in with some SCP which ended up turning them a Purple-Blueish color. My lab coat is torn up. Good thing I have some extra clothing on underneath this thing. I thought.
I better start heading towards the next island before nightfall. I started half-jogging, half-sprinting east. My leg had some cuts apparently. I am pretty sure I am near the next island, but I can’t tell. Finally I made it to the next island.
I set up camp for the night and got ready to meet people again, Real people. The night went by without incident. I got up, ate some fish and drank some water. It’s time to make it towards the center.
Nothing else happened that is really important, but I finally made it to the center. I set up camp and made a fire. It should attract the MTFs attention when they get here. I looked at my compass and something weird happened. The compass was just spinning around! “Must be some sort of anomaly” I said to myself.
Then the MTF came and I was excited, then all hope was lost…
+Expedition Log E
5 minutes until extraction
I was there in the center island., I was happy. I was finally going to escape. Then the helicopter came down. The rotors sounded like a tornado. I had hope. The key point here is I “Had” hope. Now I am here telling you this story.
You see, I was there just a few hours ago. Let me get you up to date. There was the helicopter, landing. I was waiting, waiting for them to land. Then nothing. The helicopter was gone. The MTF were gone. I was left alone.
Panicked and distraught I ran. I ran as far as I could. I ended up reaching a staircase. I didn’t care anymore. I threw open the and ran down. Further and Further down, never ending.
I couldn’t go back up I couldn’t.. I went down too far. Again I heard a beep from my Wrist comm. “Dr. [REDACTED] we lost our helicopter to unknown reasons. We can not send another helicopter for 3 weeks, please hold tight as we…” Then the comm lost connection. I don’t know how deep I was at this point but one thing was for sure. I was not going to make it back up in a day, or at all for that matter.
I never stopped heading down, never. Flight of stairs after flight of stairs, nothing ever changed. Deeper and deeper I went. Nothing. I finally stop going after I tripped and fell down multiple flights of stairs.
Nothing prepared me for what was about to happen though… After I was down falling down the stairs and had recovered from the shock of falling I saw it. It was perfect. It was going to save me, but I didn’t realize it yet.
I walk up to it. I was a control panel with multi-colored buttons a levers. I walked up to the panel and saw the note. Pull to escape this nightmare written in blood. I was contemplating pulling it when Researcher Aaron walked up behind me. I choked out, “I… I thought you were dead! How did you survive!” No response. Then it hit me at full force, a wave of fear washed over me. It was not him… Then it all hit me like a truck. All of the memories flooded back. There I was in the house we was killed by that thing! I… I ran from there, very far. “Wait,” I said aloud with sudden realization, I have been here before, I’ve done this before. I made the wrong choice last time. I had a second chance!
“What are you talking about?” Questioned Aaron.
He started walking towards me. I knew he wasn’t alive, he couldn’t be. He noticed me thinking, I must’ve been blankly staring because I didn’t see him coming closer.
He threw a punch at me. I collided with my temple, that was the last thing I saw.
I woke up to Aaron dragging me up the steps. I was waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect time to strike. Now! I quickly grabbed his leg and pulled. He lost his balance and started falling. I jumped on top of him and rode him down a few flights of steps.
Thump! Thump! Thump! I couldn’t stop my makeshift “Sled”. We finally reached the control room again. I was about to hit the switch to end this nightmare when he grabbed my legs. He started clawing his way onto his feet. I saw his bloodied forehead start healing. I stared blankly, of course this thing couldn’t get rid of this thing, but I tried.
I reached for my side-arm, My Colt 45. I shot several times at him. It just slowed him down, but it was enough time.
I quickly threw the lever down. Then the whole island filled with the sound of pulleys and gears twisting and turning. Then as quickly as the helicopter came and left, I was gone too.
Everything was bright, warm, and surprisingly comforting. Then I saw him again. There was Aaron again. This was the final battle. I ran at him full force and knocked him over. He quickly got up and tackled me. We wrestled on the ground for a while. I grabbed my side-arm and ended it all.
I don’t know how long I was walking but there it was. The answer to everything. The lever. I flipped it and all was gone.
This is where we are now. Just you the reader and me. I beg you to leave this story where it is. Just please, end my suffering. The only way for this nightmare to end is for you to end it. Please just close this document and leave. Never return, for when my document is opened I suffer. I thought the lever would have fixed everything, but it didn’t. I want this all to end. Please. I need you to do this.
