An instance of SCP-XXXX-2

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a cellular phone in a room at Site 59 which needs to be powered on and kept on airplane mode during containment. Level 1 Security Clearance required to enter in order to interact with SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient digital being represented by what appears to be a short, feminine pixelated character of a vaguely humanoid appearance with white pigtails and completely white skin. There is no evident hands, feet, or neck, instead having stumps at the ends of its limbs and its head hovering a few pixels above its torso. Its pixel size varies among devices, but has never been seen to exceed 150 pixels high. It resides in digital technology, and can travel between devices as long as said device has a screen and is connected to the device it is currently on either through wires or wireless. It has no coding or programming, thus unable to be uninstalled or moved to a memory drive.

SCP-XXXX was first discovered on Dr. ██████'s computer, reportedly just spontaneously appearing and behaving as if it were confused. It is capable of hearing and communicating with beings outside of the device, even if said device had no audio input or output hardware. It appears to require no sustenance in order to survive. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX has been noted to lack any sense of smell or taste, but can feel physical contact.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX has been observed to occasionally leave images of itself on the memory of the device it resides in. Every documented image it has created was of a random pose it supposedly made during its time on the device. These images' dimensions are always 150x150 pixels and portray SCP-XXXX against a chroma key green background (#00b140). While some of these images show SCP-XXXX exactly how it appears, it has been made clear that a number of these images portray SCP-XXXX with a long, black tail with a pointed tip. These image files have not demonstrated any additional anomalous behavior beyond this. The images of SCP-XXXX without the tail have been classified as SCP-XXXX-1, and the ones with the tail as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX has revealed to be unaware of any instances of SCP-XXXX-2, but deliberately created all instances of SCP-XXXX-1

SCP-XXXX has been reported to be very friendly towards faculty personnel, willing to engage in conversation of various topics including music, art, and more. Its knowledge is fairly minimal, only knowing things it happened to see on devices' screens. It is seemingly unable to browse the files of the device it's on, only capable of seeing and interacting with what's on screen.
