Item #: SCP-JR 015

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-7838-TEX and SCP-7838-AVERY are to be contained in a standard human cell, due to their anomalous effects, their cell has been modified to conform with their anomalous properties, as well the ability to produce various objects from thin air, though this ability is seemingly restricted to those placed under the influence of SCP-7838. Their cell must be observed at all times and hermetically scealed to avoid any chance of SCP-7838-AVERY to make an escape. Any sound coming from their cell is to be ignored.

(SCP-7838-TEX)

Description:

SCP 7838 is comprised of two entities : SCP-7838-TEX and SCP-7838-AVERY. Two animals with cartoonish proportions and behaviors. Tex is a large honey badger of aproximately 3.5 meters of height, who posesses a large set of incisors in it's maw. This makes up 75% of it's body, with it's torso and lower body only making up 25% of it's height. It is still somehow capable of speech, though it is somewhat strained. SCP-7838-AVERY is a hummingbird, with an abnormaly longe tongue even for it's own species, and appears to be heavily molting. Both of them are sapient, and of average intelligence. They appear to work in a "duo" and are seemingly drawn to eachother. Their most obvious property is the fact that anyone or anything that comes into contact with them slowly adapts to "cartoon logic" and continue behaving that way until they distance themselves from the entity's anomalous radius. This effect allows them to pull other people into their cartoon routine as well as adapt their current location to better suit said routine.
During containment, they have been observed to completely modify their cell into various landscapes and backdrops, in an effort to keep their "show" varied. If SCP-7838 cannot find other individuals to feature in it's "cartoon", it will instead produce original characters that only ever feature as one-off appearences in each respective "cartoon". SCP-7838 has also sometimes completely disappeared from the containment cell, leaving the other entity in solo "cartoons", these usually take place in a war-like setting. Of note is the fact that SCP-7838-TEX strongly believes that World War II is indeed still in progress, and is often observed to attempt to raise funds for the war effort (This behavior is only ever observed when the other entity is not present in it's cartoon).

Addendum-A: SCP-7838 was discovered after reports of a seemingly "haunted" cartoon studio in [REDACTED], upon further investigation, it was discovered that despite the fact that the studio had previously been heavily damaged after a bombing, it had been repaired sometime in the 2000's. Field Agents were sent to investigate and found both entities chasing eachother in the middle of one of their cartoons. The field agents then proceeded to accidentaly put themselves under the entity's influence, but still ended up catching the entity by trapping both in a mailbox and sending them to Site-43.

Addendum-B:
Tex and Avery were cartoon characters created by a studio going by the name of "Vierra Productions", funded in the early 40's, their cartoons were fairly low budget attempts to rival the likes of more successful productions, and were often only ever shown off in private screenings, and rarely ever in theaters. The duo started off as a prey and hunter dynamic, with Avery as the prey and Tex as the hunter. Tex would often attempt to eat Avery, only for him to injure himself in various ways in the process. Tex himself behaved fairly normaly, though his large mouth and giant teeth left him with a fairly frightening appearance. Avery on the other hand had a very aloof demeanor and was usually very detached from whatever conflict was the current focus of the cartoon, however, upon ingesting nectar (and in later cartoons, various other forms of sugar), he entered a frenzy-like state that usually turned the dynamic on it's head, leaving Tex completely terrified. When the studio was drafted into the war effort, the cartoons ended up dropping Avery, focusing on a series of shorts featuring Tex and various Nazi villains, where Tex would brutalize and scare the villain in each short into surrendering. The majority of their cartoons were lost after the studio was destroyed in a bombing, though a few film reels and witness accounts offer information on a few of their cartoons :

"Sweet as Honey" : 1941 [Debut short, not much is known apart from it's name. Is known for it's strange gimmick of keeping any damage done to Tex throughout the short, including lose of hair, teeth, eyeballs, organs [REDACTED]. Avery's voice actor during this short has not been identified.]
"Fumin' Trenchin'" : 1944 [Wartime effort short, features a scene where Tex slowly chews on the legs of a Nazi soldier, no audio is present during this segment, apart from the sound of Tex's chewing.]

ADDENDUM-C
ENTITY MOVED TO KETER DESIGNATION AFTER IT PURPOSEFULY USED A FLOWER PATCH FEATURED IN ONE OF IT'S "EPISODES" TO MAKE SCP-7838 ENTER A FRENZY STATE AND BREACH CONTAINMENT. MODIFICATION OF CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES IS IN PROCESS.
