Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5226 is to be stored in a display case at Site-19, and must NOT be removed from it's container by personnel with a security clearance under level 3 at any time outside of the requirement that the object, and the case in which it is housed, be cleaned at least twice weekly. If any personnel are to remove SCP-5226 from it's locker, the time of it's removal is to be logged, and the object must be returned within thirty minutes after this time. If it is not returned within this limit, this is to be considered a containment breach. On-site security are to locate the personnel who removed SCP-2556 from its container to try and reclaim the object, and, if necessary, terminate the person(s) in question.

Description: SCP-2556 is a seemingly wooden hand shaped statuette, weighing 1.5kg and measuring 22.9 x 10.2 cm, with joints for articulating, however, these cannot be moved. It's fingers are positioned in a way that it resembles a finger gun hand gesture. Despite its outward appearance, study of the material's composition suggests that the material is non-organic. The object was discovered on the 20/07/20██ in London, England, after local authorities were alerted to a murder in an arts and crafts shop. Eyewitness testimony, correlated with store security footage, showed that the object, upon the attendant interacting with it, fired a bullet out of its fingertip, killing the customer. Agent █████████ acquired the anomaly from the authorities after claiming to be a member of the forensics team assigned to the case, bringing it to Site-19 thereafter.

Addendum 2556-1

Upon further testing, there is evidence to suggest that SCP-2556 fires projectiles of varying lethality. It should be noted that the better the condition of the object, and the area around it, the less likely the anomaly will fire lethal projectiles.
Below is a list of all currently observed projectiles to be fired out of SCP-2556, along with the conditions required in order for these to manifest.

Disinfected, coating of wood polish applied:

  • Confetti.
  • A flag, with the word "POW!" inscribed on it in bold lettering. The flag retreats back into SCP-2556 after 5 seconds.
  • Water.
  • Non-toxic gaseous compound of unknown chemical makeup. Personnel note a distinct smell of fresh bread.
