Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard biohazardous humanoid containment cell at Area 14 fitted with strictly metal furniture or furniture resistant to extreme radiation. The walls of the cell are to be made of at least 10 centimeters of lead sandwiched by 5 centimeters of stainless steel on each side. The inside of the cell is to have 4 centimeters of industrial insulation on all walls. The door of the cell is to be an airtight vault door of similar composition. The cell is to be hooked up to a ventilation system separate from the building's main ventilation system in order to avoid contaminating Area 14 with radioactive particles. The room is to be kept at -20 degrees celsius and no more than -10 degrees celsius. At least 2 redundant thermometers should monitor the room at all times and be inspected weekly. If temperatures exceed -10 degrees celsius, protocol XXXX-001 should be activated. The cell is to be fitted with at least 4 redundant Geiger counters, inspected biweekly. If the level of radiation in the room exceeds 500 rads, protocol XXXX-002 should be activated. SCP-XXXX should be equipped with a standard Class-A internal radiation shielding suit. If the suit is removed, protocol XXXX-001 and protocol XXXX-002 should be activated immediately. At least 2 redundant cameras should be placed in the containment cell, repaired and inspected as needed. If SCP-XXXX shows signs of erroneous behavior, procedure XXXX-003 should be activated immediately. Staff are instructed to avoid causing SCP-XXXX to become angry or scared. Its diet should consist of food that does not rot when exposed to extreme radiation. All requests of SCP-XXXX should be fulfilled as long as the requests do not lead to a containment breach.

Before personnel enter the containment chamber, the temperature of the room is to be lowered to -50 degrees celsius, but this procedure can be forgone if an emergency requires it. All personnel should also be equipped with a standard Class-A radiation and temperature hazardous environment protection suit. During transport, SCP-XXXX must first be sedated with an aerial sedative and then with diazepam.

If temperatures rise above -10 degrees celsius, procedure XXXX-001 is to be activated. SCP-XXXX will be sedated with dispensers in the cell, and then liquid oxygen is to be pumped into the cell in order to restore temperatures.

If radiation levels rise above 500 rads, procedure XXXX-002 is to be activated. SCP-XXXX will be sedated with material sedatives, liquid oxygen is pumped into the room to lower temperatures, and an airborne radiation absorbing material will be released into the cell.

If SCP-XXXX is demonstrating erroneous behavior, procedure XXXX-003 is to be activated. Aerial sedatives are to be dispensed, and then Class-A amnestics are to be administered.

Should SCP-XXXX breach containment, it is to be sedated as quickly as feasible and then recontained.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 6 foot 5 inch tall Caucasian male capable of emitting large amounts of radiation, and, if left uncontained, can release energy similar to that of a 170 kiloton nuclear device. If left contained, SCP-XXXX will release this energy and destroy a large area around it, similar to the damage caused by a 170 kiloton nuclear device. SCP-XXXX has been very cooperative with the Foundation and allowed itself to be brought under containment, but if SCP-XXXX becomes scared or angry at any point, its radiation output will increase severely. This radiation output is largely beyond SCP-XXXX's control. Under normal circumstances, SCP-XXXX emits in excess of 200 rads of radiation and will cause people nearby to develop symptoms of acute radiation sickness and collapse almost immediately after coming into close contact with SCP-XXXX. The radiation has been measured to be ionizing radiation, similar to the radiation emitted by nuclear fallout. When emitting radiation, SCP-XXXX's skin becomes a light shade of green. The intensity of the green corresponds to how much radiation SCP-XXXX is emitting. It has been shown that extreme cold may serve to significantly decrease the amount of radiation SCP-XXXX outputs. SCP-XXXX seems to be invulnerable to extremely cold temperatures.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered when Foundation satellites noted a very high level of radiation in metropolitan New York on ██/██/20██. After surveying the location of the incident, MTF Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") was immediately dispatched to contain the anomaly. Upon arriving, MTF Beat-7 was successfully able to contain SCP-XXXX before it reached a critical mass. Over 1,000 people were found suffering from acute radiation sickness, and over 200 died. Class-A amnestics were administered to all of the New York metropolitan area through airdrops, and SCP-XXXX was brought into containment at Area 14.

Incident XXXX-001: Several months after the initial containment of SCP-XXXX, Foundation webcrawlers located a blog talking about the sighting of SCP-XXXX. Class-B amnestics were administered to all involved, and Foundation webcrawlers are instructed to immediately remove any more discussions of SCP-XXXX found.

Incident XXXX-002: After the loss of SCP-XXXX's favorite football team, SCP-XXXX became very angry and breached containment. Procedures XXXX-001 nad 002 were ineffective as SCP-XXXX breached the cell walls before the procedures could be instated, instead killing the 3 guards stationed outside of SCP-XXX's cell. It rampaged throughout Area 14, incapacitating over 30 staff of note and killing 5 staff of note. SCP-XXXX caused the containment beach of 3 other SCPs and nearly went critical, which would have caused the total destruction of Area 14. After 2 hours, SCP-XXXX was incapacitated and contained. SCPs that breached containment were finally recontained 3 days later. SCP-XXXX is no longer permitted to have or request anything that might have a different result or opinion than what SCP-XXXX expects or believes.
