Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Containment Procedures: To ensure safety to all personnel, and to prevent a possible K-class end-of-the-world scenario, no testing is allowed on SCP-XXXX unless specifically required by any other SCP henceforth. If this is so, the following rules on operating SCP-XXXX shall apply:

  • Do not play any episodes that involve the creation of objects larger than the television's screen.
  • Do not play shows that involve anomalous behaviors and/or objects unless called for by the O5 Council and the television has been transported to a suitable containment location. (See Incident Log XXXX-1 for details)
  • Do not play shows involving extraterrestrial activities.

Two guards are to be placed in front of the containment doors, as well as in front of SCP-XXXX itself. The remote control is to be kept in separate containment, and no personnel are allowed to use the remote within range of SCP-XXXX.

Initial Description: SCP-XXXX is a black flat-screen television with a 254 cm diagonal length manufactured by the █████████ Company. It shows no physical anomalies except for a electronic chip not found in any other television of its make. Removing this chip eliminates all anomalies from the television, returning it to factory settings.

When SCP-XXXX is activated, its default channel is the Science Channel, created by the Discovery Association of Channels United, or DACU. Attempting to change the channel with the television's remote control or side buttons is futile, for the television simply will not recognize the input.

When an episode of factory documentary "How It's Made" airs and concludes while SCP-XXXX is active, all objects whose creation was described in said episode will be launched out of the television's screen in order of appearance, in intervals of 2 seconds, at 20 km/h. SCP-XXXX remains unperturbed during this process. All objects created by SCP-XXXX function as intended, and assume no anomalous behaviors themselves.
