Item #: SCP-XXXX

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the self-concealing effect SCP-XXXX-1 has on people with SCP-XXXX, no containment procedures are needed at the current time. One instance of each subcategory of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in containment for research purposes. They are to be kept in standard humanoid containment chambers suited to their anomalous properties.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomaly that occurs in the genetic makeup of some humans. Subjects affected by this originate from a household with a single parent and complete lack of knowledge of the other parent. As of date, [DATA REDACTED] variants of been found and cataloged. SCP-XXXX is not present at birth, appearing much later in life as was with the case of Junior Researcher Jacob Andrews. It has also been noted that the anomaly can not be passed down to the subject's offspring.

SCP-XXXX causes a variety of effects on the subject. Which effects are present are determined by which variant of SCP-XXXX the subject has. These effects can range from the ability to combust into flames at will to [DATA REDACTED]. Subjects with SCP-XXXX release an unknown gas that can not be sensed by humans. This gas attracts anomalous entities towards the subject. It is unknown how the gas targets only anomalous organisms or how it is produced. A current theory is held that the gas is made in the bloodstream of the subject, as how bloodloss has led to a decreased amount of the gas being produced.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a memory-affecting anomaly that removes memories of subjects with SCP-XXXX exhibiting their anomalous properties. It can also suppress memories of other anomalies involved in a XXXX incident. Attempts to replicate XXXX-1's effects have all yielded no successful results. People with a Memetic Resistance above █ can negate the effect of SCP-XXXX-1

Test Logs

It is to be noted that all test logs on SCP-XXXX should follow this format.

SCP-XXXX Variant:

Subject: Joshua ██████
Procedure: Subject was asked to use anomalous properties on test dummy for cataloging
Results:Subject was unable to use anomalous properties on test dummy, stating that it could only use it on living organisms. The test dummy was traded out for a D-Class, and the test was continued. Subject touched the D-Class's neck, and the D-Class became heavily intoxicated. Later analysis of the D-Class showed that the subject was able to secrete a chemical that caused the D-Class.

Subject: Michael ████████
Procedure: Subject was asked to exhibit its properties on a test dummy. With prior knowledge from tests with subjects with the same SCP-XXXX variant, the testing chamber was lined with flame-retardant materiel beforehand.
Results:Subject was able to cause the test dummy to rapidly catch on fire, burning himself in the process.

Subject: Samuel ███
Procedure: Subject was asked to perform its abilties on a potted plant.
