Special Containment Procedures: Identifying events that match SCP-XXXX's criteria and resolving them as quickly as possible is the only reliable method of containment. Foundation-embedded agents in law enforcement and government agencies across the globe are to report any possible manifestations of SCP-XXXX. If an individual matching entity's typical description does appear during an attempted resolution, personnel must attempt to evacuate as many bystanders as possible to reduce casualties.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a shape-shifting entity of variable appearance. It can appear male, female, and of any racial group. It is unknown if the entity has a natural form, or if it is sentient. Attempts to communicate with SCP-XXXX have failed thus far, for the entity will dismiss any questions asked of it, stating that "There's no time to waste."
SCP-XXXX manifests at the sites of police standoffs, hostage situations, and other similar crises. It is more likely to appear at events with a media presence, though it will not appear on any recorded footage. The entity also does not appear on thermal imaging, nor does it
Upon manifestation, it convinces local law enforcement it is one of them via unknown means, taking the appearance of whatever organization is in charge (FBI, CIA, MI6, even local police departments). SCP-XXXX will persuade leading personnel that it can resolve the situation, but it needs to go in alone. On-scene law enforcement will be compelled to agree with it, and will not try to stop it or send any officers to assist the entity. The entity will then manifest whatever weapons it chooses out of thin air, and will find a way inside even if there is no possible means of entry. It has been seen using weapons ranging from standard-issue police firearms to anomalous weapons of unknown make that can liquefy targets.
The entity will typically "resolve" the crisis by killing everyone involved with extreme prejudice. SCP-XXXX possesses no regard for collateral damage, and will not hesitate to kill or maim hostages if they hinder its progress. It will also use extreme methods to overcome simple obstacles, such as using plastic explosives to open a locked or barred door. SCP-XXXX typically "resolves" crises in under an hour, with the fastest known recorded time being 5 minutes and 13 seconds.
Once the perpetrators are dead, the entity will then leave the area with any surviving hostages. It does this by jumping away from the center of the area or from a window before the area violently explodes. This event occurs universally, whether or not there were explosives present, and it is unknown if SCP-XXXX itself causes these explosions. After the explosion the entity will carry the survivor(s) to safety, though any rarely survive to this point. Immediately after, the entity dematerializes along with any physical evidence of its presence left behind. This includes shell casings, grenade pins, and footprints. The memory of its presence and actions will also vanish from the minds of any witnesses.
SCP-XXXX events always result in over a 90% mortality rate, including hostages, perpetrators, and bystanders.
