The Adventures of DR. Jones

I scrolled through what seemed to be a endless wave of emails that I have received from my time in the foundation.  Next to my keyboard was my cup of steamy coffee, and the case files of my next assignment. On top of the case file was written top secret. It did not even tell me what my assignment was. When I opened the file, my heart dropped. It took all of my willpower to keep the burning bile in my throat down.

"No no, this is not right. What did I do wrong?" I began to shake as my eyes laid upon the name SCP-106.  The file dropped on the ground as I went to type away a message to my senior. The message was professional, but I was sure that he could see my panic.

"Breathe Sarah, please just breathe, maybe this is all a misunderstanding." I got out of my chair to examine my office. The walls were well kept, and my door had a lock that required my personal keycard. It was like my own small kingdom.

When my notification sounded, I rushed back to my computer to find a video chat request. I pressed it and saw my senior who sat at his desk with no smile.

"Director, I would like to know why was I assigned to such a dangerous SCP. I done what I was asked, and more. SCP-106 has been responsible for so much death." My tone rose as panic flooded my body like a river.

"Dr. Jones be quiet, and listen to me clearly. You have been assigned to this SCP-106 because of your hard work. I am not punishing you, but I have to say that I understand your fear, but I am disappointed."
