Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4678 is to be contained in a soundproof cubical chamber which is to be kept at -5 degrees celsious. No Class D is to enter SCP 4678's containment room without a level A hazmat suit. If SCP 4678 attempts to expand, its containment chamber is to be cooled to -10 degrees celsious for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours.

Description: SCP 4678 is a black and sentient viral mass which can meld into a limited amount of different shapes and is extremly infectious, SCP 4678 has formed what looks like a mouth out of the teeth and jawbones of the several assimilated lifeforms. It has shown elevated brain function and problem solving skills. It emits a strange clicking sound using some of its vocal cords which is described as "incredibly alluring" and "very distracting" by the Class D personal who have entered its contaiment unit. SCP 4678 is able to immediately infect people it comes in contact with, the people it infects display very few physical symptoms and no mental symptoms, once infected a small viral tumour will start growing around the victim's brain, the small tumour has the same properties as SCP 4678 and seem to be merging with their host this viral tumour has been given SCP statues and named SCP 4678-2. The infected individuals can be controlled by SCP 4678 while they are asleep. It will attempt to free itself by either getting its victims to open its containment unit or by luring them to itself and then assimilating them, when SCP 4678 assimilates a human it will add their organs to itself. SCP 4678 already contains many different types of muscle, skin and even brain tissue, using special equipment scientist have observed the brain tissue SCP 4678 has assimilated has been observed to still be active. It has been observed using bones and teeth to wound and kill Class D personel and then assimilate them however SCP 4678 is extremly hateful of cold temperatures as it will go into hibernation if exposed to climates too cold for it to handle, if SCP 4678 has began to hibernate, it will lose any mass it has gained in the past 8 hours. SCP 4678 has even been observed attempting to communicate using the vocal cords of a Class D personel it had recently assimilated.

Addendum 4678: SCP 4678 was first discovered swimming around the waters of the [DATA EXPUNGED] swamp in the [DATA EXPUNGED] . Where it was seen assimmilating small mammals and birds, it seemed that SCP 4678 was heading towards a nearby town, when it was found SCP 4678 was and still is 80 kg.

Addendum 4678: Because of SCP 4678's infectious nature it is very likely it has already infected several people, their location is unknown. If SCP 4678 was to escape the results would be catastrophic and possibly apocalyptic.
