Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX has to be contained in a 2×2×3m cell, made of constructional steel, measuring 10cm in thickness. The containment cell needs to have a 30×30cm observatory window and a lamp at the ceiling, in order to be able to see if SCP-XXXX is in an awake state or not - because of it being impossible to have an interview with something doing something similar to sleeping. The cell (for interviewing) requires a microphone and speaker close to the observatory window.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an animate, as well as intelligent mechanical diving suit, baring the appearence of a model from the early 20th century. The model (named Campos) never got produced, thus making SCP-XXXX's origin a mystery. To that, it doesn't show any marks from factories it could have been made in.
SCP-XXXX measures a height of 2.51 metres in height, has a shoulder width of 1.20 metres, and an arm length of circa 1.6
7 metres. It thus is assumed to have an armspan of just under (if not fully) four metres. Its shoulders are formed as solid tubes going in a 90° angle, making it unable to (under normal circumstances) spread out its arms. But, in order to be able to, every joint of the construction has an extendable extra joint. If expanded, this joint offers great flexibility and mobility, as well as an additional length of 0.4 metres per limb. This would add 1.2 metres to the legs, 1.6 metres to the arms, as well as 80cm to the torso and head. The measurements of the object are of course different, but the most obvious features is the height of 4.41m, making it tall enough to reach the middle shelf in an Ikea retail unit's storage room.
SCP-XXXX's weight varies. In an awake state with no water inside, the suit weighs in at 3.9 metric tons, making it able to only slowly move on land. At this weight, it is assumed to be a denser material than the usual steel of the time. And yes, the material is denser, even if not much. Elements identified in the unknown alloy are made of steel, iron, gold, platinum, as well as copper. When in contact with water, the materials making up SCP-XXXX rearrange, forming one material with an unbalance in all components for an atom. The amount of protons is remarkably low when looking at the amount of neutrons, while the electrons just give the idea of a drastic excess of electrons. This material has proven to (presumably) be impervious to damage. Proven by 9mm bullets, 7.62mm bullets, as well as several explosive charges - up to several tons of TNT strong. No damage on the surface of SCP-XXXX was noticable.
The main anomalous property SCP-XXXX exhibits is its animativity. It enters an awake state without any major trigger, usually a several times a day, then stays awake for up to four (4) and a half hours before entering an unawake state again. In this time, it is looking for water to enter and remain in. If this is accomplished, it will remain in the awake state permanently. After one hour of constant exposure to water, SCP-XXXX will start to slowly fill up with water. It then expresses the elimination of its discomfort - SCP-XXXX is capable of speech in English and Spanish, but will only use it if asked something or in the just named situation. Once filled up, it will unlock all its other properties. This includes instantaneous travel to any location in the world, assuming it is either any body of water, or close to one. It is assumed to be able to even reach locations on other planets. To that, it unlocks a swimming speed of around 135km/h. The most destructive power it then is in possession of isn't yet fully understood, but it is assumed to be the ability to telekinetically manipulate water and weather on sea. This has only been noticed shortly before containment and was only noticable because SCP-XXXX moved all water around itself away, making a canyon-like area in the lake it was contained in - reasons for having done that are unknown.
SCP-XXXX, even though it was capable of killing massive amounts of people, has never been hostile towards humans. During observation (prior to containment), it would simply create currents that would carry plastic to the shore. In other cases, it rescues sinking ships by carrying them. For that, it grips the ship's lowest end and pushes against it. Then, it starts to move towards the closest bit of mainland or an inhabited island - around 20 ships have been rescued by SCP-XXXX before containment. In one case, SCP-XXXX left the water to save a ship that was going to sink during its launching into the water. It prohibited strength great enough to simply carry the around 200m long ship and set it down on the ramp again. This ability isn't unlocked when filling up with water.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: ██████Foreword: SCP-XXXX it was interviewed to find out why it is constantly circulating in the cell when awake. Some other info was put onto the list as well.
<Begin Log, one week after retrieval>
Interviewer: Hello there, I am ██████. I am here to interview you.
SCP-XXXX: Good day. I wanted to know why I am in containment.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX appears to be able to hold a conversation.1
