The Bedroom Container (DtheAussie)

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a large area, 30ft (9.144m) long, 30ft (9.144m) wide and 16ft (4.8768) high with windows covering the sides. It must be entered at least once every week by at least two D-Class personnel, and observed for at least 15 minutes. The doors may be closed for said 15 minutes once per month, but SCP-XXXX must be properly monitored during that time to prevent elongated entrapment inside it. Any movement, displacement or rotation of SCP-XXXX is to be under special guidelines (see Addendum SCP-XXXX-1).

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large intermodal shipping container, measuring to be 8ft (2.44m) wide, 8.6ft (2.59m) high and 40ft (12.19m) long. The container’s exterior1 is painted butter yellow, with no signs of scratches, paint peeling, dents or any other types of age, damage or weathering. The exterior of SCP-XXXX is devoid of any information, with no text or signs.

The interior of SCP-XXXX is what seems to be an average bedroom. The room is 15ft (4.572m) long, 15ft (4.572m) wide and 23ft (7.01m) high. The wallpaper and ceiling are coloured white and the floor is covered in a grey carpet. The ceiling has electrical lights, which can be turned on and off with the flick of a switch on the left side wall. There is a queen sized bed to the left side of the room, with a lamp and clock standing on a small dresser to the left of the bed. There are no doors in the room as the wall seems to open up on its own, so anyone who enters the room and has the door closed cannot exit without assistance from the outside. If this happens, the trapped can be heard from the inside and so far there have been no extreme cases of D-class personnel being trapped for long periods of time; the longest that anyone has been trapped has been for only █ minutes.

SCP-XXXX has one window on the back wall, the glass seeming impenetrable even when ██████ and ██████ are applied to it. The scenery outside the window is a large field of grass, with occasional animals such as birds and insects flying past it; however humans or any other mammals have not been recorded to be seen outside the window and the aforementioned animals that do pass by have never been seen to interact with or even notice SCP-XXXX. The time of day and weather varies as if it was any average field; however it seems that the time of day does not align with the timezone of the foundation. It was noted that when it was █:██pm on a sunny day, the clock inside SCP-XXXX stated that it was █:██am, the window displaying a nighttime scene. It is unknown if the timezone SCP-XXXX is ahead of the facility’s timezone or behind it. Any noises outside of the window cannot be heard while outside SCP-XXXX, even roaring thunder or heavy rain. This may be part of the reason regarding why there have been no cases of extreme entrapment.

Additionally, the interior of SCP-XXXX will always have the same gravitational pull no matter how SCP-XXXX is positioned. Even if SCP-XXXX is upside down, the inside will still be right side up. However, if one is to exit SCP-XXXX while in this state, the violent change of gravity can cause serious injury and can even be fatal. Please see Addendum SCP-XXXX-1 and Addendum SCP-XXXX-2 for more details.

Addendum SCP-XXXX-1:

A test was performed on SCP-XXXX where three D-Class personnel (D-9981, D-4121 and D-5123) were inside SCP-XXXX while it was upside down, rotated using specialised forklifts and ██████. All three felt no change despite seeing the effects from the inside, and all three shared no ill effects from being in this state. Once the designated 15 minutes were up, D-4121 quickly exited SCP-XXXX despite warnings to stay inside. Once D-4121 leapt out, [DATA EXPUNGED], killing him instantly. D-9981 and D-5123 stayed inside until SCP-XXXX was put back the way it was, although both were unwilling to exit in fear of D-4121’s fate occurring to them as well.

Addendum SCP-XXXX-2:

Further testing was required in order to understand this phenomenon. D-5123 was called back to SCP-XXXX and was put inside, but was instructed to hold one arm out. SCP-SXXX was slowly rotated, and the two opposing forces of gravity caused stress to D-5123’s bones and tendons, causing pain and damage to the limb. He was further instructed to stay still despite being in this state, and despite complaints did as asked. SCP-XXXX was soon rotated back after the bones in D-5123’s arm broke under the pressure, which caused him to jerk his arm back in pain causing even more damage via [DATA EXPUNGED]. D-5123 was sent to a medical bay and underwent treatment, where he made a recovery. Further testing is allowed but is discouraged, and it may only be performed if one is careful, responsible and in a high position in the foundation.
