Item #: TBD
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures
SCP-####-1 should be kept in a standard 30cm x 30cm anomalous item container and should not be presented to SCP-####-2 unless strict permission from SCP-####-2’s personally assigned researcher, under no circumstances should SCP-####-1 be read by anyone, We’ve lost too many good researchers.
SCP-####-2 is to be kept in a 4m x 3m humanoid anomalous container disguised as a mental hospital, Sophie is only allowed to visit SCP-####-2 every 2 weeks and after progress has been made with SCP-####-2 as it appears Sophie slows down progression with SCP-####-2
Description
SCP-####-1 is an A5 sized diary from Swedish book company ███████ Belonging to SCP####-2, SCP-####-1’s anomalous properties do not manifest until anyone begins to read it, upon which the reader will start crying, and then find the fastest way to kill themselves.
The story written inside SCP-####-1 appears to be SCP-####-2’s side of the story since “The Black Day” as he insists to call it.
To date, only 3 people have read SCP-####-1 and survived, those people being SCP-####-2’s Assigned researcher, SCP-####-2’s childhood friend “Sophie” and SCP-####-2 himself
SCP-####-2 is a 19 year old boy by the name “Simon Henriksson”, SCP-####-2 has expressed lots of self harm even before “The Black Day” as he calls it and has even attempted suicide a multitude of times Before and after containment, SCP-####-2 does not like being asked questions before the black day, even with the proposition of more allowed visits from Sophie he still declines.
The Black Day
The black day is the term SCP-####-2 uses to refer to the events that happened of 12/02/2012, where SCP-####-2 was a victim of a hit and run, late at night as he was helping an injured person begging for help, the driver is still unknown and their whereabouts are still allusive, however SCP-####-2 insists that the Driver is “David Leatherhoff” however this is highly unlikely as David is in an ICU at Markland Hospital for a drug overdose (See David’s file attached)
it is unlikely that the injured man played any role in the hit and run, however the timing makes it suspicious
SCP-####-2’s assigned researcher doctor ███████ under the Alias “Purnell” asked SCP-####-2 to write a book about his feelings as cognitive therapy, SCP-####-2 went one step further and wrote an entire story about the events from The Black Day, it is unknown how SCP-####-2 managed to make book anomalous and this is what we’re trying to figure out, our current two theories are as such:
Theory 1
The first theory is that the book had anomalous properties before SCP-####-2 wrote in it, making the story become real in a seperate reality, where the reader is transported into the world, perhaps this is what caused the psychosis that made SCP-####-2 kill police constable W. ████ and constable Marco ████, however this is still unknown, as asking SCP-####-2 to write another book could result in more casualties
Theory 2
The second theory is that SCP-####-2 underwent multiple psychoses during the time he was writing SCP-####-1, and as such made the book gain it’s anomalous properties, this would explain the nightmare sequences such as “the hands maze” as doctor ██████ calls it and would also explain as to why SCP-####-2 has no recollection on what made the book anomalous, however it seems that both of these theories are correct as the causes and effects both line up for it not to be coincidence
David Leatherhoff
There is not much known about David Leatherhoff’s personal life and at the time of reading, there is no way to ask him as he is in an ICU at Markland hospital. David Leatherhoff is estimated to be in his late 20s with no prior arrest record, or hospital records, on 30/10/2007, David met to Markland Hospital to get help for a drug addiction he had acquired from receiving strange pills from an unknown company - the company of which is being traced and looked into, upon arriving at the hospital, David headed to the bathroom and found yet another bottle of pills, giving in to his addiction, he went into the bathroom stall and took the pills, which he then overdosed and almost died, since then David has been in the ICU and regaining his health at a relieving speed
