Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained in a locker at floor 7 of site-19. SCP-XXXXs locker can be opened with an 8 number code that an at least class-4 personnel can retrieve from the site manager. Personnel may access the locker for purposes of research and testing. Dissembling of items must occur at least once a month, and favorably conduct experiments with new type of objects.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 40 centimeters wide, 30 centimeters long and 20 centimeters tall dark wooden chest of unknown origin. When any solid item is placed within SCP-XXXX, and SCP-XXXX is closed for more than 14-58 seconds, SCP-XXXX dissembles the object into the least large form without breaking it. If the item is homogeneous, SCP-XXXX will divide it into piles of materials the original object was constructed of. SCP-XXXX has no cogs or other electronic or mechanical devices, but still dissembles items and can extract substances embedded into other substances.
SCP-XXXX doesn't seem to be subject to any damage resulting from the dissembling, but is subject of minor damage if not used to dissemble for over 2 months, resulting to the requirement of to be used monthly. SCP-XXXX seems to "consume" a part of the items as some ingredients or parts of items do not appear after dissembling. The reason for this, is unknown.
Addendum XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX has been used to make moonshine and used for extracting drugs from other substances before entering containment.
