Traits and containment.
SCP.4978 is a sentient pseudo-humanoid abnormality with immense strength powered by glucose. Once his strength is activated to even it's half potential, no known substance can stop him. The effects start when sugar enters a three-yard radius of SCP.4978, but only substantially grow when within two feet of the creature. Effects are at its highest when sugar is consumed.
The creature has been known to [REDACTED], and can not be contained easily. 4978 is contained in the heavy containment zone. Containment procedures are as follows: Creature is placed in a 15x15x15ft metal box, 9 feet thick. Personal must check the box daily for dents or scratches. The box is then surrounded by a 5-foot deep moat of [REDACTED]. The moat is surrounded by a large glass cage, reinforced by metal. As a final measure, a large thick blast door is placed at the entrance to the room. Cameras are placed inside the box to monitor 9872. No sugar of any kind is allowed within a mile of the facility, and anyone found with sugar within this space is [REDACTED].
Origins
Origins of SCP.4978 is unknown. He was first spotted in a cave in [REDACTED]. He was thought to be a human child left behind and was adopted by [REDACTED] and[ REDACTED] Smith. He was accepted as their own until about [REDACTED] years later. His powers here first observed when Mr. Smith poured himself his daily cup of coffee but decided to put a sugar cube in. SCP.4978 was able to sense the sugar from his room, bursting through the wall to the kitchen. He then proceeded to [REDACTED] Mr. Smith, [REDACTED] his [REDACTED]. He proceeded to drink the coffee and destroyed the whole [REDACTED].
SCP foundation grunts arrived about [REDACTED] later, observing the beast from [REDACTED] miles away. The creature noticed them as if it could sense them, and quickly wiped out the whole squad. Once the sugar wore off, a second group was able to contain it, and bring it to the facility, where it was temporarily placed in a standard TCU (temporary containment unit), until the current containment cell was built.
Incidents.
A total of [REDACTED] incidents have been recorded about 4978. All but one of them resulted in [REDACTED]. The surviving party of the incident has suffered trauma and was only able to survive because she is diabetic, so 4978 didn't feel enough sugar in her blood to attack, but that is not to say she wasn't injured. Sure. So, my husband came home to find 4978 breaking into a cabinet. We had brought home 4978 a few weeks before, as we thought it was a real human you see. We had named it Johnny because it is a plain name for what we thought was a plain child.
Ok, and what happened then.
Well, 4978 opened the cabinet to get some sugar, and this is when [REDACTED] walked in. 4978 guzzled down the sugar like it was… well… sugar. [REDACTED] started to question it, but was instantly [REDACTED] by 4978.

Old News:
SCP - 4978 has escaped containment. His abilities were thought to be understood but haven’t been fully understood.
‘Johnny’ was indeed a human, once. He has been successfully Identified as a missing Russian boy named [REDACTED].
New News: SCP - 4978 has a life cycle of some sort. He was originally human until something unknown happened to that boy. He now has stages he goes through. He produces a calcium rich liquid and refuses to eat until he dies. Then gets reborn as a bigger, strong, and more uncontainable SCP - 4978. There are current 3 stages so far before he broke out. SCP - 4978 - A, SCP - 4978 - B, and SCP - 4978 - C. It’s unknown where or which stage it is.
