Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4962 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell. Subject is allowed to counsel mentally ill patients and/or staff once a week and may request non-violent psychology-focused books and articles.

Description: SCP-4962 is a humanoid measuring 180 centimeters in height and 90.7 kg in weight. The subject is biologically 16 years old but claims to be much older, reportedly originating during the early Triassic period. It has given accurate reports on several historical events, including ones not known to the public, such as a battle occurring in the 11th century BCE between the Mekhanites and the Sarkics.
The subject’s anomalous properties are related to the psyche and brain, allowing SCP-4962 to drastically affect the minds of those around it. The subject has stated it can control these properties and has used them for self defense before. To date, there has been no observed limit to its manipulation of the psyche. The subject's abilities include the power to both cure and cause intense mental disorders (such as BPD and Schizophrenia, the power to convince people to do nearly anything, and the ability to control brain functions of an individual, and therefore movement of that individual. The subject is either unable or unwilling to cure conditions such as autism or Asperger’s, stating “They aren’t diseases, they are simply differences.”

Foreword: Jr. Researcher Blake conducts the first interview with 4962.

Blake: The date is October 7th, 2018, time is 15:03. I am currently in the room with SCP-4962. I will begin conducting the interview now.

4962: You haven’t done this before, have you? That’s okay, you’ll get it at some point.

Blake: What can you tell me of your anomalous properties?

4962: I’ve had them for as long as I can remember, and that’s longer then you think. I’ve tried to use them for good, to become a helper. Witch doctor, therapist, aide, psychologist, whatever you want to call it.

4962: But then one day I hurt someone. He … he raped one of my friends. I had never dealt with rage like that before, and -

*SCP-4962 begins to tear up at this point.*

4962: I ripped him apart. Not physically, but mentally. I-I made him do so many horrible things to himself and his friends who helped. I-

4962: I went dark after that. I hurt more people, and not just criminals, innocent people, their family, their friends, their kids …

*4962 wipes its face and looks at Junior Researcher Blake.*

4962: So I let myself be contained. Of course, I knew about the Foundation, the Jailers, the Adversary, and I let my properties “slip,” so to speak. If I wanted to run, I would’ve. If I wanted out, I would be. But I just can’t be out there. I don’t want to do that again, I know I couldn’t stop myself.

*4962 takes a quick inhale and seems to calm down*

4962: Can I ask for something?

Blake: What is your request?

4962: Can you let me help people again?
