Description: When untransformed, SCP-5144 is a creature of unknown genus. It is a bicep estimated to be approximately 1.7 meters in length and weighs 75 kilograms. The subject seems to have no visible sensory organs and seems to use [REDACTED] to detect other organisms. Little else is known about the physical appearance of the SCP, as it transforms immediately after an organism views it.
SCP-5144 is an anomaly with the ability to transform into any other sentient lifeforms in it's vicinity, although it is unknown whether SCP-5144 is sentient itself. It is believed that the SCP does this through the process of [REDACTED]. SCP-5144 is able to take on the organism's abilities as well and will also take on any of it's beliefs, flaws, and memories, effectively duplicating the organism. When SCP-5144 is duplicating an organism there is no difference and it is impossible to tell which organism was the original. SCP-5144 cannot use [REDACTED] to transform into another organism while it is mirroring another organism, due to [DATA EXPUNGED]. Due to these abilities, it has been considered to have this SCP mirror Thaumiel class SCP's for containment breaches, however the idea was quickly turned down due to there being too high of a risk that the the SCP transforms into another anomaly.
An analysis of SCP-5144's skin and it's pigments has shown that it contains [REDACTED] allowing it to go through the process of [REDACTED] and mirror organisms. The skin also contains another unknown substance thought to be [REDACTED] that has an unknown use.
SCP-5144 first came to the attention of the Foundation on 3/24/██, in ███████, █████ when a personnel working at site ██ reported seeing a 'clone' of himself. After some investiation, SCP-5144 was captured and contained at Site ██ for 16 months before being transferred to Site ██ due to [REDACTED].

Experiment 5144-001
Participants: SCP-5144, 1 D-Class Personnel, and Dr. I██
Location: SCP-5144's containment chamber
Test Parameters: D-1 was instructed to enter the room and view SCP-5144. Dr. I██ was to then record any differences in speech, memories, and abilities.
Results: Dr. I██ was unable to detect any such changes in speech, memories, abilities, or intelligence. Both of the subjects had knowledge of their extended family and had voices that were the exact same pitch. The anomaly also knew any knowledge that D-1 knew and had memories such as what was said to D-1 before he entered the chamber.
Notes: Even the anomaly didn't know it was SCP-5144 and truly believed that it was D-1. It acted exactly like it was a D-Class personnel and I was unable to see a single difference, even the red X I marked on D-1's forehead was mirrored onto SCP-5144's forehead! - Dr. I██
Experiment 5144-002
Participants: SCP-939-19, SCP-5144, 2 house cats, and D-1 with Dr. I██ overseeing the experiment
Location: An empty containment chamber in the ██████ Desert.
Test Parameters: SCP-939-19 is to enter the cell first, then SCP-5144 must enter the cell, if SCP-939-19 is even able to view SCP-5144, SCP-939-19 and SCP-5144 are to be separated in to separate cells. D-1 is to then put 1 house cat into either cell. Dr. I██ will then take notes to see if SCP-5144 has the same abilities as a SCP-939-19.
Results: SCP-939-19 was successfully duplicated and then separated into 2 different cells. D-1 put the first house cat in the first cell, the house cat was still for about 13 seconds, during this time SCP-939-19 was unable to notice the house cat. After 13 seconds the cat moved from one side of the room to another, where it was cut off by SCP-939-19 or it's duplicate, and was consumed. The second house cat was put into the second cell and immediately ran from SCP-939-19 or it's duplicate, it kept running for 6 seconds until it stopped and paused for rest. During this time SCP-939-19 or it's duplicate was unable to tell where the house cat was. After approximately 1 minute and 14 seconds, the SCP found the house cat, and the it was consumed.
Notes: This was absolutely bizarre, audio from both of the containment chambers showed that the SCPs were speaking the exact same things, in the exact same order, all at the same time! When the audio files were placed on top of each other they sounded like one! -Dr. I██

Experiment 5144-017
Participants: SCP-5144, SCP-049-2, D-1, with Dr. I██ overseeing.
Location: An empty containment chamber in the ██████ desert.
Date: 7-03-██
Test Parameters: SCP-049-2 is to be brought into the containment chamber with the help of D-1, and SCP-049-2 is to view SCP-5144. The results are to be recorded.
Results: SCP-5144 was successfully duplicated and was able to be separated from the original SCP-049-2 using [DATA EXPUNGED]. Once separated, SCP-5144 was observed for 25 minutes with seemingly no abnormal behavior. After 25 minutes SCP-5144 went rigid and didn't move for 16 seconds. After that, reverted back into it's original state, where it immediately became a clone of Dr.I██, because Dr. I██ was looking at the SCP during to time of it's abnormality. The reason for why SCP-5144 reverted back to it's original state is currently unknown, although it is hypothesized that it may have been because of SCP-5144's [REDACTED].
Notes: I have never seen SCP-5144 do this before, I believe it could be because of the SCP's skin pigments. I believe it could be because of SCP's nature to interact with [REDACTED] quite unwillingly, while interacting with more [REDACTED] organisms more willingly. Must do more research on this. -Dr. I██
