Item #: SCP-4393

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4393 is to be kept in a 5 x 5 x 5 room with constant video surveillance and have at least 2 researchers present behind 3.5-inch bulletproof glass. If SCP-4939-1 is to activate without SCP-4393's consent, countermeasure 3 must be enacted until the activation is to cease. If it remains constant for any period longer then 10 minutes, seek pacification methods elsewhere, decided on the severity of the event.

Description: SCP-4393 is a 2.3 meter tall, white male with average complexion. His body has symbols tattooed along his back, arms, legs, and neck. He is seemingly very friendly, and not often angered or annoyed. He enjoys conversation with researchers and seemingly is very open to divulging secrets that are vital to the foundation. On his hip, attached to his belt is a book, now designated SCP-4393-1. The book has a leather cover with tattered scars and markings with bindings and engravings on the front and back. SCP-4393 is often seen reading from SCP-4393-1. SCP-4393 often opens this book and writes with a feather pen that seemingly appears from thin air. When he writes in the book, it is usually to document a certain conversation, but on occasion will release strange fumes, flames, or a plasma-like substance from the pages. This does not affect SCP-4393 or SCP-4393-1 and presumably, has control of these effects. These effects are devastating and can cause massive structural and bodily damage.

SCP-4393-1 seemingly possesses sentience and is hostile to anyone who attempts to open them. SCP-4393 seemingly uses the book for some quality of life conveniences and is not actively a threat. However, SCP-4393-1 is, and against the will of SCP-4393 will lash out at those it sees as a threat to SCP-4393 or itself.

DR.██████:

Foreword: This interview was primarily meant to gain more info on SCP-4393 and SCP-4393-1

<Begin Log>

DR.██████: Good evening SCP-4393, how has your day been?

SCP-4393: Good, say do you mind referring to me as Levi, its a nickname I've picked up along my travels.

DR.██████: Alright, Levi, let's get started then. Do you understand the root of your anomalies origin, I'm mainly speaking of the book.

SCP-4393: I have no memory of my origin, I can really only remember about 15-ish years back.

DR.██████: What do you remember from that period of time?

SCP-4393: Mostly just a dark place, dark sky, dark rooms. Not much light, and when there was light, it wasn't showing things I wanted to see. This book is really the only thing I had. I don't know where I was or when, but I don't think it was a place I want to go back to.

DR.██████: What do you mean by 'where or when'?

SCP-4393: I have in the past dabbled in traversal beyond the human eye. Really the only places I remember are strange dimensions. Some of them were great, and others weren't. The book decided it would screw up, and I got stuck in a dark place for… who knows how long.

DR.██████: Did you encounter any SCP's in these alternate dimensions?

SCP-4393: SCP implies they were contained or were known of and studied. I met some strange fellows every now and then, but mainly stuck to my lonesome, I just wrote in my book and studied.

DR.██████: Would you be willing to divulge any of this information Levi?

SCP-4393: You don't actually think that using my name in a friendly way is gonna get you secrets that could make your head literally fly off. The foundation and my relationship are symbiotic. I give them priceless info, and they give me better food and living conditions. I'm happy with that, and I don't assume you plan on giving me a Salsberry steak right?

DR.██████: Not right this moment, but we do expect some cooperation, make it easy and answer at least one question, what will you let me see in that book?

SCP-4393: I'll make you a deal. If you can guarantee that I have free reign over this cell. Mainly so I can decorate it. If that's promised, I'll let you look at a page.

DR.██████: Yes, I can make that happen.

SCP-4393: Good, here. slides book across table and opens it Don't touch it, it'll kill you.

DR.██████: M-my God, is- is that DR.██████ begins crying

SCP-4393: Is that what you were looking for?

<End Log>

Closing Statement: SCP-4393 was granted his part of the deal, given access to home renovation and furniture in his cell. DR.██████ was evaluated for trauma or phycological damage and was concluded that he had an acute case of PTSD, this was not present prior to the interview, and currently has no recollection of what he saw.
