Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 4m by 2m by 5m cage constructed out of steel and reinforced with tungsten bindings, affixed to a 5m by 3m by 6m concrete block. SCP-XXXX is to also be chained to the aforementioned concrete block with four steel chains, reinforced with tungsten wire interwoven into the chain links secured to the ground with four 2m long steel bolts with a diameter of 2 cm which are drilled into the concrete floor. This cage is to be kept at a safe elevation of 5m and placed into a 24m by 24m by 12m room with walls constructed out of steel 30 cm thick utilizing a hexagonal honeycomb pattern and enveloped with a layer of 24 karat gold 5 cm thick, covering the entire room. Personnel assigned to the SCP-XXXX control room are to monitor its behavior, and should there be any changes in behavior it must be reported immediately.
Personnel are prohibited from entering SCP-XXXX's containment chamber unless authorized to and are in posession of any object composed of gold of at least 14 karat and are to keep away from SCP-XXXX at a distance of at least 3 m. SCP-XXXX's containment chamber should be lit by lamp spotlights which are to be directed at SCP-XXXX at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a man wearing a dark leather doublet and a pair of blackened leather leggings, gloves, and boots with a black, long sleeved undershirt of unknown origin. Historians who analyzed pictures of SCP-XXXX's attire could not determine the time period from which the fashion style of SCP-XXXX's attire could be attributed to. SCP-XXXX wears a dark hooded cape which has several rips and tears on it, showing signs of age and usage along with the hood on said cape being torn from the cape itself, leaving behind mottled pieces of unidentifiable silk-like cloth behind. SCP-XXXX appears to have no head nor any visible neck base, which is obscured by a shadow cast by the frayed edges of the cape. The subject shows great agitation when attempts to view what was obnubilated resulting in a near containment breach because of this burst of anger.
SCP-XXXX is able to dismount from its steed and stands at 6'2" despite lacking a head. The horse (hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) is a black stallion possessing sanguine eyes which flare with a crimson glow in the presence of darkness and has horseshoes which are composed of an unidentifiable metal. The subject carries with it a lantern of unknown make and design which has 4 opaque colorless glass panes making up much of the lantern's structure. Attempts to remove the lantern from SCP-XXXX's possession for further investigation has resulted in an attempted containment breach by SCP-XXXX. A whip, with a dark leather handle is found to be in the possession of SCP-XXXX, holstered on the right side of the subject. The cord of the whip appears to be composed entirely of a blackened human spine, of seemingly indestructible durability. This whip has been shown to be able to crack concrete with a single lash, albeit may be due to the immense strength of SCP-XXXX.
The final item that SCP-XXXX is known to be carrying as of this moment is a long, two handed weapon with a bladed head, identifiable as being similar to an axe. The workmanship and detailing of the axe itself as well as its design is of a completely unknown origin, described by a Foundation blacksmith to be "unusual and its origin is unascertainable" although she had commented on the weapon's design, which strangely aids in its effectiveness in heavy, hard hitting cleaves. This axe, like the other items in SCP-XXXX's ownership cannot be removed from SCP-XXXX else it would go into a fit of rage although upon initial inspection it appears to be made of a black metal that seemed to absorb the light around it, rather than reflect it.
SCP-XXXX was initially believed to mindless, and unable to reciprocate speech although this idea was refuted when SCP-XXXX began to communicate with Dr. Ruby, a D-Class personnel designated as D-9623, and a guard named Agent Gifred. It can now be inferred that SCP-XXXX is a sentient being although the means of communication that SCP-XXXX utilizes in order to speak is unknown. Recordings of SCP-XXXX's voice is impossible, it is theorized that SCP-XXXX uses an advanced form of mass telepathy, being able to communicate with all three of the aforementioned subjects with three different conversations at the same time. SCP-XXXX was described to have a foreigner's accent although the exact accent could not be replicated by any of the individuals. The descriptions of the accent of SCP-XXXX was analyzed by linguists who believe that SCP-XXXX has an accent that is most similar to that of a native Gaelic speaker.
SCP-XXXX claims that it kills only the humans it considers to be "impure" and although several other adjectives have been utilized, impure is the one with the most continuity. When asked about how the anomaly defines a human to be "impure" it responds with zeal, proclaiming that the sins of mankind are not what makes humans impure, what makes humans impure is the unwillingness to carry out justice. The entity then claims that it must carry out its duty and rid the world of human impurities. When questioned about the purities of mankind, the entity claims that the humans it deems pure will be protected by the fair judgment of the "Four Riders". The entity appears to be quite genial to most D-Class personnel that it encounters as well as many of the guards although it shows great antagonism towards researchers, often attempting to break containment to harm the researcher.
The cryptic message of the "Four Riders" on behalf of SCP-XXXX was later questioned but the entity refused to answer, only revealing that "it would not betray its master". When asked if there were other entities like itself, it claims that there are 6 other entities just like itself, all under the servitude of the "Four Riders". When questioned about SCP-XXXX's view on the Foundation it claims that the Foundation is riddled with impurities and purities, claiming that it will rid it of these impurities.
SCP-XXXX was initially discovered in the province of Connacht in Ireland after reports of several missing persons were made. Many witnesses came forth, claiming that they had seen the "Fear Dorcha" chasing a man down a "fiery road" and what followed soon after were the screams of the unknown man. Foundation personnel followed the road that the alleged chase was said to have taken place and discovered that the paved stone path had a dark burn path of 1 m in width continuing in a straight line only ending at a pool of the victim's blood, the path measuring around 5 m in length.
Forensic analysis shows that the victim's blood was burned through the heat of friction and that the entire length of the burned path was caused as a result of friction. A theory has arisen that SCP-XXXX travels so quickly that it can create enough friction underneath itself to set the path ablaze, which explains several eyewitness accounts claiming that SCP-XXXX was chasing the unknown man on a "fiery road."
Addendum 1: SCP-XXXX appears to be invincible, undeterred by bullet fire in an effort to weaken it during its initial capture and demonstrates immense physical prowess, being able to decapitate all personnel it manages to converge on with its axe held in its right hand until Dr. Ruby raises her arms in fear of SCP-XXXX which revealed her gold wedding ring with a ruby set in it. Upon seeing this ring SCP-XXXX-1 rears back and lets out an ear piercing neigh and SCP-XXXX falls onto its back and begins to back away from Dr. Ruby who was now approaching it, ring finger outstretched until personnel could capture and contain the now submissive SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1. This strange, seemingly irrational fear of gold (initially thought to be the fear of ruby) has kept SCP-XXXX docile, allowing Foundation personnel to plan for further investigation of SCP-XXXX's origins.
Addendum 2: SCP-XXXX appears to grow more violent during the night when it is kept in darkness. To remedy this, spotlights have been installed to keep a constant light on SCP-XXXX. This seems to have fixed the problem as SCP-XXXX no longer attempts to break containment although the unpredictable and enigmatic nature of SCP-XXXX grants it special monitoring. The suggestion of hiring mythologists to study SCP-XXXX and to disseminate all information they can gather about "Fear Dorchas" has been considered and is currently under scrutiny.
Addendum 3: Currently the only known weakness of SCP-XXXX is the fear of gold. This irrational fear of gold may be because the entity is vulnerable to gold. Tests with gold-tipped bullets and gilded armor plating are considered, but will not be conducted until further information is uncovered due to SCP-XXXX's unpredictable outbursts of rage.
Addendum 3.5: SCP-XXXX claims that its fear of gold was inspired by the impurities of mankind, claiming that gold is perhaps the most impure of all; the "pure, unadulterated essence of impurities".
