Special Containment Procedures: The surrounding area of SCP-XXXX is to have heavily armed guards. Daily, SCP-XXXX must be observed for signs of life. If data remains inconclusive, observations must be halted for a three-hour period. Personnel may only enter SCP-XXXX after being approved by level-4 personnel. Personnel are to pose as either tourists or site guards. All personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX must be rotated ever 1-5 days and dosed with class-B amnestic. All distress calls are to be ignored.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a hollow triangular structure located in Mt. ██████, Tibet. SCP-XXXX is black in color, with engravings craved into its black stone, and subjects in the visual vicinity of the object appear to display signs of minor paranoia. SCP-XXXX appears to hollow interior contains a liquid-mirror like substance. Observation to replicating the substance has remained inconclusive. If a subject with deep religious beliefs where in vicinity of SCP-XXXX, the object will form a small wormhole designated SCP-XXXX-1, that only the subject may enter.

And he rules mere islands remaining among an ever-growing empty void.

After entering SCP-XXXX-1. The subject appears on a white island of stone with multiple pillars like structures and there appears to be visual light but with no detectable source. The area surrounding the island is completely empty. Within this dimension, there are multiple distress beacons of multiple species, in various languages. However, after approaching the area of distress, a large entity designated SCP-XXXX-2, will attack the subject. SCP-XXXX in its docile state has no physical form and must attract prey using reality alteration.

No plants can grow in SCP-XXXX-1 regardless of the efforts, and there are no detectable plant life in this dimension. Subjects can leave the dimension, however upon leaving, subject will fall in a state of constant paranoia claiming “he watches”.

On █/██/████ during an annual exploration of SCP-XXXX-1 subject was moved to a significantly larger island, after which radio signals from the subject-D7GH9 communication device were jammed, after a 3-day period, this audio file was found on Dr. ██████ private terminal. Transcript as follows.

Subjects front camera view displays a large stone city. Most of the walls ruined and destroyed.
subject-D7GH9: Guys? -guys? C'mon this isn’t funny.
Subjects heart is elevated, and notably paranoid upon seeing the structure.

Subject remains silent for 3 minutes and incoherent whispers can be heard.

The king sits upon his throne, watching the now quiet capital.

subject-D7GH9: What even is this place?

Subjects front view camera shows him entering the structure, revealing dozens of bodies, mutilated, eaten or starved laying on the ground - all dressed in medieval robes.

subject-D7GH9: These are bodies! And they haven’t even rotted, they’re all mummified.

Subject begins showing further advancement into paranoia.

subject-D7GH9: This place, it’s so quiet, so eerie. This place looks like a market place. There are still food stands, but all the food's gone. The cobbled path looks like no one used it in years. The bodies crawling over to the what looks like a granary.

The people looked to their king for aid, but he could not help, for their fate was sealed.

audio transcripts then show a brass bell donging. A bell had fallen from the castle onto the cobble floor. Its brass tainted by time.

subject-D7GH9: What the-

The bell would ring for any special occasion. It was an event all the residents of the city liked to listen, but now, due to lack of use. It’s been tainted.

Subject then enters the castle through a hole craved in the wall. Revealing a castle garden, now rotted and nothing remain, not even dirt. The dried bushes striped of their leaves. The entrance to the throne room, was blocked off by bodies crawling to the music.

Subjects front view camera turns to show a stair case leading to a room in the castle. Climbing up subject finds a finely dressed nobleman laying at his desk, dead over a small book. The book contains multiple Cognito hazards and all imagery has been removed.

Subject then exited the room to reveal the throne room. The carpet tainted and torn.

And on the iron throne lay a king. Its body torn and flesh gone. Its face covered in a cloth. Around it, eyes floated. the kings whiteness standing out from the grey and metal walls, the figure stood in an almost proud manner, despite not displaying any change in facial texture, the entity almost smiled.

subject-D7GH9: Who are you?

The king stood on his throne for decades, frozen, forgotten. The ruling over nothing.

The king stood up and audio and visual transcript started to corrupt. The music growing quieter. And then one discernable word can be heard “The pale king of the edge”.
