Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 1 meter by 1 meter by 1 meter glass case, filled with cold, nutrient-rich water used to suspend the object and prevent it from "hatching." Each side of the glass case is to be six (6) or more inches thick as to prevent any leakage. Three (3) armed guards are to be present outside the containment room at all times. Under no circumstances is anyone to be allowed inside SCP-XXXX's containment room, for their own safety. SCP-XXXX's containment room is to be fitted with three (3) security cameras, bolted to the chamber. All cameras are to be locked on SCP-XXXX's glass casing. Should SCP-XXXX begin to "crack," all personell on site are to be evacuated as quickly as possible.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an egg of unknown species, shaped roughly like that of a human brain. The egg is a washed-out purple in color, with a crude yellow star on the side where the frontal lobe would be. On the occipital lobe, there is a shape resembling a kitchen timer in the same yellow. There have so far been zero accounts of this "timer" moving under direct observation.

History

SCP-XXXX was recovered in the neurosurgery department of ██ █████████ hospital in ██████, Japan. SCP-XXXX had to be surgically removed from Holly ███████ ████'s skull, resulting in her unfortunate death. Foundation officers administered amnestics to all who witnessed the event, and left posing as neurosurgeons on break. Approximately two (2) moths after SCP-XXXX's recovery, a crack appeared on the very top, accompanied by a sound extremely similar to that of extruded polystyrene foam (commonly known as █████████) ripping.
