The Encyclopedia Of Everything

Item #: SCP-4943

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4943 is to be put into a locker in site-██, with anyone who has security clearance over 3 being able to access it.

Description : SCP-4943 is a blue, hard-back book with the words 'The Encyclopaedia of Everything' printed in gold at the front. There is no known author and the book seems to have no reviews, and is estimated to have about 250 pages. If someone opens the book, then it will tell them what they want to know most, if it's known by a human. This will be shown in whatever style the reader likes best, varying from simple writing to being able to perform stage plays from its own pages. When the reader has obtained the information that they want to know, they will refuse to tell anyone what they know, saying that ‘They would know too much if they told them’, becoming withdrawn from their friends and society as a whole. Readers will also refuse to give the book back, and will continue to use it for everything that they need to know. If anyone forces the book off them, they will commit suicide, and a suicide note is usually found near them stating that ‘no-one else can know the secrets’.
