Item #: SCP-4137

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4137 is to be kept in a 50ft by 50ft solid steel room. several █████ brand fire extinguishers are to be kept in easily accessible areas of the room. 4 fire redundant cameras are to be monitored 24/7 by authorized personnel. Every other week ash and soot should be cleaned off all surfaces in the room and any holes in the containment room should be sealed ASAP. No researchers should spend time monitoring SCP-4137 for more than 6 hours, therefore every 6 hours researchers should sign in and out of monitoring Smaller creatures coming out of SCP-4137 (SCP-4137-1) should be immediately terminated and any of these instances should be logged.

Description: SCP-4137 is a 40ft by 8ft shipping container that is of the ██████ brand. It has several graffiti messages reading “DO NOT OPEN” and several other messages in Latin reading “GATES TO HELL” and other related messages. Upon touching SCP-4137 body temperature will rise by one to two degrees but no feelings of heat have been reported. When the doors are opened it reveals a raging fire that seems to have no fuel source. Heat is only reported at about a distance of 6 inches in which the subject begins to sweat profusely and body temperature raises by five to seven degrees.
Upon entering the flames subject does is not burn but instead begins to slowly descend. As the subject descends several burns appear and internal body temperatures begin to increase by almost 30 degrees. The subject doesn't seem to be in any pain (some people experience extreme panic while others don't) and body functions are being carried out regularly opposed to the extreme temperatures and stress. Microphones attached to subjects picked up inaudible whispers and pleased sighs from the subject. The subject completely ignores any attempts at speaking to them. Eventually, all communications are disabled and the subject cannot be monitored. After 24 hours it seems that the voice of the subject can be heard at different times of day (12:00 AM-3:00 AM). After these times there are no other signs of the subject.
The origins of this container are unknown. It was found in an abandoned lot by the waterfront in ██████, ██████ found by two children aged ███ and ██ who called the police after experiencing the heat from SCP-4137. Officer ████ contacted the SCP foundation who transported it to Site-███. On the first day at Site-███ 3 small beings (1 ft-2.5ft) emerged from the container and showed rambunctious behaviour fighting each other and screaming. When researchers made their presence known. Since discovery and containment, Only six of these creatures have emerged ranging 6 inches to 7ft in height which immediately dissipate after any contact with water having a temperature of ███ or lower.
