Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8969-A is to be contained within a spherical chamber measuring 10 meters in diameter, constructed of reinforced, soundproofed, and electromagnetically sealed materials. This containment chamber is located at Site-██ and is suspended in an isolated subterranean chamber, separated from the Earth's crust by a minimum of 50 meters of reinforced concrete. Access to SCP-8969-A is restricted to O5 Council members and authorized personnel with Level 5 clearance. Any personnel attempting unauthorized access to SCP-8969-A are to be terminated immediately.
Site-██ is to be staffed with a dedicated team of research personnel, security personnel, and clerical staff to monitor SCP-8969-A at all times. The team is responsible for documenting any anomalous activity related to SCP-8969-A and reporting it immediately to the Site Director.
Description: SCP-8969-A is an anomalous object resembling a massive eye, approximately 10 meters in diameter, floating within a containment chamber. The eye's appearance is ever-changing, displaying patterns and colours that defy natural optical properties, often described as both mesmerizing and terrifying. SCP-8969-A radiates a low-level hum and emits a faint, continuous beam of intense energy resembling laser light, which cannot be seen by the naked eye but is detectable with specialized equipment.
SCP-8969-A possesses reality-altering and godlike powers, capable of causing catastrophic and apocalyptic events on a global scale. It can manipulate matter, energy, space, and time, leading to numerous anomalous phenomena.
SCP-8969-A's powers are not fully understood, but its potential for destruction and manipulation of reality poses an imminent threat to the continued existence of humanity and the Earth itself. The eye's motives and sentience, if any, remain unknown.
