Special Containment Procedures: The area of water where the instances of SCP-8923 lives is to be quarantined. Any access by civilians are to be denied. The area is to be guarded by 14 level 4 personnel. If a personnel somehow gets in the water, They are to be checked. Personnel can be checked by a cut on the hand, If a red substance comes out and its blood, they are okay. If a substance thicker and more light red comes out, The personnel is to be terminated.
Description: SCP-8923 is a blob, Composed of an unknown substance, With a thick red substance drooping from it. Each instance is approximately 7' 4" in height. There are believed to be 13 instances of SCP-8923 but it is believed there are many more. After the first exploration trip, There were 12 instances. After the killing of instance 12, The creature has become harder to kill, especially in the area of the guts. SCP-8923 is also capable of shapeshifting. Any humans leaving the area are to be denied. If proper Identification is shown, the human will be able to leave the area. If no Identification is present, The person will be tested. The person will get cut on the hand. If blood and nothing else comes out, They will be able to leave. If a thick substance of light red comes out, The subject is to be terminated. Other capabilities of SCP-8923 are still being figured out.
Location: All instances of SCP-8923 were found in [REDACTED], [REDACTED] after a dead body was reportedly [REDACTED], Covered in a unknown substance. The substance then turned into the what seemed like the person that was dead. The SCP transmitted to 8 different people at [REDACTED], All of them in [REDACTED] Later, A piece of SCP-8923 was located in a [REDACTED], In [REDACTED]. The SCP infected 4 more people.
