Class: Euclid
SCP #: 5202
AKA: The Frozen Fencer
SCP 5202 appears to be a statue of a professional fencer, made out of marble. It is physically indestructible, but you can best it. It activates when someone draws a fencing sword near it. Once out of view from organic life it will move as fast as SCP 173 just off of its platform. 5202 will begin its training course when the fencer bows, In return the statue will bow and draw its sword out in the beginning position. It will perform professional fencing moves to try to best its opponent. If it bests it’s opponent it will simply place it’s fencing sword on its opponents shoulder, where it will freeze in place. On 5202’s plaque will read tips, tricks, and what the fencer did wrong and how to fix it, much like a fencing teacher. It is possible to best SCP 5202, You simply have to land the blade on 5202’s shoulder and it will freeze in place and on the plaque will read it’s congrats and things that you could work on to make you even better. After 24 hours of no activity 5202 will reset back on his platform. 5202 had never attempted an escape.
It was found in a city park. No one noticed it at first because statues and monuments went up every day. The exact Origin is unknown but long story short someone brought a fencing sword and 5202 activated. A pretty impressive duel was performed in the park before 5202 bested his opponent. After that he was brought here to site [DATA EXPUNGED].
Some tests were made to attempt to destroy SCP 5202.
Test 01:
Anti-tank weapons were pierced together to detonate the structure. This was anticipated not to work but we had to check all of the boxes. And as expected, It did literally nothing.
Test 02:
A special bomb was created just for this occasion. It was recorded to be the most powerful hand grenade constructed. Having the power of the Davy Crocket nuclear bomb. It was armed then thrown into the room and sealed off from the rest of the site. It severely damaged the site, and killed nearly everyone in it. But the statue and all other SCP’s were just fine. (No SCP’s breached containment that day.)
Test 03:
This time the foundation was going simple. They brought together a group of D class personnel and gave them sledge hammers and pickaxes. They began hacking away at the structure. It did absolutely nothing. Mysteriously the tools actually shattered into thousands of pieces and fell to the ground. The D class personnel had been given a few blisters and cuts from the shards but nothing serious.
After this point the SCP foundation gave up attempting to destroy 5202.
Instead, Interviews would take place.
Interview 1:
A high level fencer was told to make a set of mistakes and see what ones 5202 gets right and Mr. Teskri, the fencer, agreed. He would confirm if 5202 got it right. In the end SCP 5202 won and displayed everything perfectly.
Several more tests like this took place and SCP 5202 got it right everytime
Interview 2:
A security member that had little to no knowledge of what he was doing was sent in and he didn’t leave for several hours. After he left he mastered the basics of fencing and was beginning to advance. At least 420 fights took place. (We stopped counting at 200).
It’s becoming clear that SCP 5202 is a very trustworthy teacher and faculty have been allowed to train with it if they have level 1 or higher security permissions. We don’t fully understand how it works, but we know for a fact that 5202 is not likely to escape anytime soon.
