The Golem mansion (In Progress)

Item #:SCP-XXX

Object Class:Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The perimeter of SCP-XXX is to be monitored at all times remotely, and a 20 kilometer exclusion zone surrounding the [REDACTED] Forest is to be patrolled by a detachment from Mobile Task Force Vae-3 (Palace Guards). Entrance to [REDACTED] Forest is to be restricted under pretense of the presence of the dangerous hallucinogenic mushroom silens hariola. Note: This mushroom is entirely fictional and Foundation personnel are not in danger of any known hallucinatory fungi. The remainder of Vae-3 is to be kept on standby in case of any attempted breach of containment from within or without, or any change in the behavior of SCP-XXX-1 deemed noteworthy by on-site staff. In the event of any instances of SCP-XXX-1 attacking D-Class sent into the area monitored and maintained by SCP-XXX-1, the instances are to be terminated and any surviving equipment salvaged In the event of instances of SCP-XXX-1 becoming hostile, any personnel or equipment are to be evacuated if possible. Harming instances of SCP-XXX-1 is strictly prohibited unless said instances are hostile to personnel of clearance level 2 or higher, or an instance attempts to breach containment. (See Exploration Log SCP-XXX-L1-B).
Due to the resilient nature and uncertain number of SCP-XXX-1, the Director Of Onsite Operations may request the deployment of additional mobile task forces if deemed necessary at any time.

Description: SCP-XXX is the designation given to the ruins of a medieval era mansion located at the epicenter of the [REDACTED] Forest, located in the southern portion of what is modern day Slovakia.

SCP-XXX is home to an unknown number of vaguely humanoid entities that roam the manse’s grounds and the surrounding forest in 5 kilometer radius, designated SCP-XXX-1. SCP-XXX-1 are not identical, however they are all very similar in appearance and demeanor. All stand about 3 meters tall, with short, trunk-like legs, and shoulders 1.5 meters wide. SCP-XXX-1 all have distinctly sloped foreheads and brows. The heads of SCP-XXX-1 have small holes assumed to be auditory in function, carved eyes and mouth, a strong jawline, and a noticeable lack of any sort of nose. These entities are comprised mainly of clay and mud; however, several alchemical symbols have been inscribed onto the bodies of each instance of SCP-XXX-1, and the resulting grooves have been filled in with the corresponding element. The inscribed symbols include iron (on the forehead), silver (on the top of the head), mercury (on the throat), and an unidentified symbol over the heart, When analyzed, the material was found to contain cobalt, nickel, and trace amounts of [DATA EXPUNGED]. The alchemical symbols are noted to have a faint glow.

When approached by foundation personnel, SCP-XXX-1 will take no action until the person approaching it is within 8 meters, at which point the instance will stop what it is doing and turn to face the person approaching it. At this point low, metallic hum from an unknown origin will begin to sound. If the person closes the distance by an additional meter, the humming will cease and the instance will begin to move towards the offending party with intent to dismember them. The instance will chase the person until they have left the grounds of SCP-XXX or until they are out of the instance’s sight for an uncertain period of time.

SCP-XXX-1 instances are resilient to most forms of small arms fire due to their physical makeup, and it is unknown if SCP-XXX-1 feel pain. If a limb is detached from a hostile instance, the limb will cease all functions and the instance will ignore it, and continue its pursuit. The only known way to temporarily disable an instance of SCP-XXX-1 is to either destroy the limbs or separate the instance into small enough chunks that it ceases animation. However, instances of SCP-XXX-1 are slow enough that any uninjured person should be able to outpace it at a swift walk.

After any hostilities, damaged instances of SCP-XXX-1 will walk to the location of any detached pieces and reconnect them to itself. It is unknown how the instances are able to connect hardened chunks of clay and mud seamlessly and almost instantly.

If an instance of SCP-XXX-1 has been reduced into pieces small enough to suspend function, one or more instances of SCP-XXX-1 will move to the suspended instance’s location and reconstruct it.

SCP-XXX-1 instances spend the majority of their time tending the grounds of SCP-XXX. This includes cultivating SCP-XXX-2 or cleaning the interior of SCP-XXX. At dawn (whether the sun is visible or not), SCP-XXX-1 instances will commence daily activities. Each observed instance of SCP-XXX-1 seems to have a set routine and tasks, which almost equate to daily chores.

SCP-XXX-2 is the designation given to a variety of anomalous plants and animals that inhabit SCP-XXX and the surrounding forest.
Currently observed instances of SCP-XXX-2 include:

What appears to be an anomalous species of Rosaceae, or rose. The observed species is made out of a copper alloy and displays color consistent with that of polish copper. Of note, however, is that despite lacking DNA or functioning biological parts, instances of SCP-XXX-2-A react to watering, replanting, trimming, similar actions the same way a biological rose would, and are even capable of germinating.
