Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in an item locker on Site-██. No materials may be placed or given to SCP-XXXX outside of testing. recyclable products are to be kept out of a two (2) meter area of SCP-XXXX's containment zone.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a green trashcan approximately two (2) meters in height, and one (1) meter in width with no trash bag inside of it. Recovered from ████████ Street of New York City on Manhattan Island, no brand name or logo has been found on SCP-XXXX.
When items are thrown into SCP-XXXX, they deteriorate over a time period of one hour for any material or density. Any recyclable objects placed within a two (2) meter area of SCP-XXXX will receive the same anomalous effects as objects inside of SCP-XXXX, but will deteriorate in approximately thirty minutes. Testing has come to show that SCP-XXXX will not eat any biological matter, or organism. See the addendum. The destination of nay materials SCP-XXXX has disposed of has not been found.
Any interaction with SCP-XXXX is to be carried out through D-Class personnel during testing. The entity is not to be used for disposal outside of testing so as to avoid any unknown effects.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX would not consume any biological material recovered from [DATA EXPUNGED]. After three (3) hours of waiting, and changing out the material, testing was canceled and the result was determined that biological material has provoked no response in SCP-XXXX as of recent dates. Following testing, a plastic cup was set within SCP-XXXX's range, and it began the usual deterioration process.
