Special containment procedures: SCP-4931 is to kept in a large standard security locker. An second tin box inside the safe contains SCP-4931 and is used to move SCP-4931 without touching it.

Instances of SCP-4931-1 have a strict schedule when and where to move in the facility. SCP-4931-1 is to always be accompanied by two armed guards. Any attempt to move out from the schedule is strictly forbidden, and guards wont hesitate to terminate SCP-4931-1 if needed. Every month SCP-4931-1 is moved to another site.

Description. SCP-4931 is an large stone key around 2 decimeters with several inscriptions, most prominent to be a man with a head of a deer and a crow carrying a bone.. It was discovered ████ by an archaeological expedition to Germany and was uncovered together with an mummifed body. The body was later lost. SCP-4931 is dated to be around 1500 years old. Because of the shape of the key, it's assumed to have no practical use. The object have no anomulus properties of it's own. Once a subject touch SCP-4931 they automatically become SCP-4931-1 and becomes hunted by SCP-4931-2.

SCP-4931-2 is an humonoid creature around 2 meter long. It has pale green skin and almost no muscle mass. It's hands are equipped with large claws. The subject is dressed in large strips of cloth, comparable with egyptian mummies. The cloth color range from brown to dark green and is observed to be soaked in water. The head is completely diffrent from the rest of the body, resembeling a hound like creature with sharp and large theeth. The eyes seems to be absent and it's unknown if it's blind or not as it dosen't show any sign of blindness. SCP-4931-2 is not very agile and moves slower than the average walking speed. The subject will try to find open entrances to SCP-4931-1 as first priority. If it can't find any it will simply phase through any obstacles. Any attempts to contain SCP-493-21 have been unsucsessfull. Killing SCP-4931-2 has been sucessfull, but has been showed to only temporarly stop the subjects hunt.

SCP-4931-2 will also place traps in hunt. The traps is perfectely camoflauged and are only placed where they can be hidden effectevly. They are always placed so that they will trap SCP-4931-1 where ever it goes. This ability to "predict the future" has been higly discussed by scientists. SCP-4931-1 is therefore not safe when walking in, but not limited to, these surfaces: forest, plains, snow, desert and gravel. The traps highly resembeles bear traps, and furthur investigation reveals that the blades are made of human theets. Once the subject is trapped, the trap cannot be removed and SCP-4931-2 will immediately appear.

Once SCP-4931-2 catches it's prey, it will send a paralysing wave through the victim. It will then kill it by piercing SCP-4931-1 heart with it's claws. SCP-4931-2 will then [REDACTED]. After he has finished he touches the body once again, and the body will turn to dust with only the skeleton left. SCP-4931-2 disappears after a short moment.

Only one SCP-4931-1 is still currently alive. It's not being hunted by SCP-4931-2. This is the result by the only mean of escape currently known of, by simply cutting of the part that touched SCP-4931. D-7812, or the name Jerry he has been given, touched SCP-4931 by tripping over while carringy a box containing the object. He lived 2 years being hunted by SCP-4931-2 and during a close encounter Jerry enraged cut of his foot with an axe. In a interview he explained tht under the two years he had hated his foot for causing the suffering. Jerry is currently at Site █.

Additionall notes. Out of the 13 explorers touching SCP-4931 during the expedition, only 5 was found alive when the Foundation brought them in. All are currently deceased.

James Torncall was killed in one of the locked cells the Foundation gave him, before they knew about SCP-4931-2 phasing capability.

Karey Washington was killed after an catastrophic test. After the incident no other tests were performed.

Erik Nordsköld got stuck in a trap after the transportatien team needed to travel on foot in the ██████desert. SCP-4931-2 traps was discovered.

Garcon Duvall was the last one to be killed. He survived 59 encounters of SCP-4931-2 and avoided over 2000 traps. Almost all information from SCP-4931 the Foundation have is thanks to Garcons survival. He died after getting locked in in a interview room.
